Creative Movement
Ages 2-3.5: Class focuses on basic ballet vocabulary and positions, song & dance, basic tumbling, musicality, creative movement, and developmental gross motor skills in a nurturing, fun environment.
**Parental Presence** Dancers can stay in the dance room without their parents: In general, we find that having caregivers in the room tends to make things worse and also challenges the transition into pre ballet level. Children often have a harder time listening & it becomes a struggle to have fun! These guidelines help to ensure a more productive and enjoyable creative class environment for everyone. We suggest parents of 2 year olds watch and observe the first class to see if it seems achievable for their child. We strive to keep the class being a positive class. Some students adjusting in their first month may not take the entire class.

Fall 2026
Creative Movement Mon 10:30am (August 10-September 14; 5 classes)

Contemporary 4/5 Wed 6:45pm
By teacher placement only. This class is designed for dancers with a strong ballet background, ideally those in Ballet Levels 4 and 5. Contemporary dance serves as a movement laboratory, where students engage in rich, multidimensional phrase work and explore a wide range of physical qualities and textures. Each class offers an immersive experience, blending physical challenges with creative exploration through imagery, improvisation, and musical complexity.
Students are encouraged to listen deeply, respond intuitively, and experiment with tempo, texture, and nuance. Each session is structured like a masterclass centered around a specific concept, guiding dancers on a thoughtful and empowering journey toward deeper artistry and movement intelligence.
While we recommend students take at least two ballet classes per week to support their training, concurrent ballet enrollment is not required—however, a Level 4–5 ballet foundation is essential.
This class does not count towards Ballet Level 4 or Level 5 requirements (4 ballet classes a week)
