Dance Company - Audition Based Class
Dance Company is a group of committed dance artists that want to pursue dance more seriously. Members have the Opportunity to participate in

- extra Performance Opportunities including a Dance Company Highlighted Show & performing for schools
- Attending Step Up Dance Convention with master teachers from across the country
- Weekly choreography class with other members of the company
- The connection, trust, and increased growth from being part of a dedicated company
Optional: Specialty Dance Photoshoot (unique effects and extensive edits)
Optional: Competing in dance competitions

Contract
Company students are required to sign a one-year contract in the first week of classes. They must commit to their company from August 18th - May 22nd. A student quitting mid-year dramatically affects the entire group of students and the teachers. It affects the quality of the performances and disrupts the connection of the company. The only acceptable reasons for getting out of your company contract are
1. A serious injury that will require months of rehabilitation and rest.
2. The family moves out of the area.
Parents and students should discuss this together to make sure that both are committed for the entire year. Students who drop out before May 22nd will be required to pay two months of tuition after they stop coming to class.
Class Load
Dance Company members have the opportunity and responsibility of performing in extra specialty performances, participating in dance conventions, master classes, and an optional dance competition. Performing at such a high level requires dancers to consistently be working hard to strengthen their bodies and abilities. In order for dancers to safely contribute to their dance company they are required to be in a minimum of 2 weekly dance classes outside of their dance company choreography class. 1 of these classes needs to be ballet or jazz to upkeep the technical ability required to perform at this level. Attendance of at least 90% needs to be maintained for all classes in order to fully participate in the company. (Makeup classes are available however attendance in assigned classes when possible is critical.)

Code of Conduct
The Oaks Dance Studio is a place where everyone should feel at home and be ready to learn! We believe in and strive for the following values: Hard Work, Joy, Teamwork, Hope, Passion, Respect, Gratitude, Self Love, Confidence, & Excellence. Dance company members are expected to be a shining example of those values. All dancers will be required to sign the Parent and Dancer Agreement that includes that code of conduct.

Company Costs to expect for the full year:
$20 Once a Year Additional Performances Fee
Normal class tuition costs based on the number of classes enrolled in (includes company class)
$250 for Step Up Dance Convention Registration (2 full days of classes with master teachers)
$25 - $50 costume fee per costume (4 costumes per year in addition to technique class costumes, and any additional dances registered for)
Optional: Specialty Dance Photoshoot $80 - $100
