In this creative drama class, students will use their actors’ toolbox (body, voice, and imagination) to weave stories, create characters, and discover new worlds through the power of imaginative play. Students will also learn the fundamentals of acting while discovering theatre skills that can be used for the rest of their lives! This ensemble based class is the perfect place for young actors to begin honing their skills while also having a ton of fun with friends.

In this class, students will begin honing the skills necessary to become a true triple threat! They will work together as an ensemble to learn musical theatre repertoire and choreography, all while strengthening their acting and character work. This is the perfect class for any student interested in doing the musicals here at Firefly, because it gives them the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to successfully rehearse and perform a show as a singer/actor/dancer!

Grades rising 6th to rising 12th - This camp teaches the building blocks of basic improv and introduces kids to the fundamental aspects of acting for comedy. The focus here is put on physical expression as well as verbal communication centered around improv games, scene work, and comedic delivery. Kids will work on being a good ensemble member as well as developing their individual skills in a low-pressure environment. Students will not have a performance on the final day.
