Musical Theatre Production Program – Beauty and the Beast Jr.
Our 2026 Musical Theatre Production Program features Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Jr. and is perfect for young performers aged 5–18 years who are excited to be part of a full-scale stage production.
Everyone is welcome to join, and all students who enrol in time are cast in the production!
Registrations close Tuesday 27 January 2026, or earlier if capacity is reached.
Program Overview
January – Term 1
Students settle into the cast, build foundational skills in singing, dancing and acting, and begin learning audition techniques. Auditions are held mid–Term 1 for role placement purposes only.
Auditions are not compulsory and are only required for students wishing to be considered for a lead, featured or speaking role. Roles are announced shortly after auditions, with full production rehearsals beginning toward the end of Term 1.
Terms 2 & 3 and early Term 4
Rehearsals continue as we bring our youth theatre musical to life. Students develop performance skills, confidence and teamwork while working on scenes, choreography and musical numbers.
Production Week (including performances)
Production Week runs from Wednesday 21 October to Sunday 25 October 2026 at Helensvale Cultural Centre and includes full technical rehearsals and four live performances, giving students the opportunity to showcase their hard work, confidence and stage presence in a professional theatre setting.
Audition Workshop – January
A Beauty and the Beast Jr. audition workshop will be held on 7 January 2026 and is ideal for students who would like guidance and feedback on their audition material before auditions take place.
