Tap & Tutus ages 5-6yr. (Thurs. 5:45-6:30) Sept. 14th - Oct. 24th
Our Tap & Tutus class for ages 5–6 continues building on the strong foundation dancers have already begun while encouraging greater independence, coordination, confidence, and musicality.
In tap, dancers will continue progressing through foundational steps and rhythms while adding more complex coordination, timing, arm patterns, stage directions, and movement quality. As their confidence grows, so does their ability to retain combinations, move with intention, and perform with personality.
In ballet, dancers begin deepening their understanding of posture, alignment, classroom structure, basic terminology, and foundational technique through center work, across-the-floor progressions, and creative movement. We focus on building strength, balance, flexibility, and body awareness in a way that is both educational and joyful.
This age group is such a fun season of growth because dancers are beginning to connect the “why” behind what they are learning while still holding onto the magic and imagination of dance.
At The Dancing House, our boutique-style classes allow teachers to truly see each student, offer hands-on guidance, and create an environment where dancers feel encouraged, challenged, and celebrated.

2 Too Cute (Fri. 9:30-10:00 am) Sept. 14th - Oct. 24th
Our 2 Too Cute class is often a dancer’s very first experience stepping into movement, music, and community, and we treat that season with so much care.
This parent-child class is designed to introduce little ones to the joy of dance through sing-along songs, storytelling, imagination, props, movement exploration, and repetition in a warm and welcoming environment.
At this age, repetition creates comfort and safety, which helps young dancers build confidence, trust, and familiarity within the classroom setting. Through music and movement, dancers begin developing listening skills, coordination, rhythm, body awareness, social interaction, and independence: all while having fun alongside their special grown-up.
This class is less about “perfect dance steps” and more about connection, confidence, creativity, and helping little ones fall in love with movement from the very beginning.
At The Dancing House, we believe the earliest dance experiences matter deeply, and our goal is to help every child feel seen, supported, and celebrated right from the start.
Dress code is comfortable clothes for movement. Caregiver, don’t forget about you! Barefeet is just fine, but socks or ballet shoes are optional.
