Dancers learn dance in a fun, encouraging environment. This class provides an opportunity for children with special needs to participate in dance education. Through the class, dancers gain confidence, coordination and strength. The class curriculum will be developed by a Minnesota licensed special education instructor and the class will have classroom assistants. If a child has profound needs, a parent or paraprofessional is asked to be in the classroom with the dancer.

It’s that time of year again for girls to grab their favorite guy in the whole world for a turn on the dance floor. Fathers, are you ready??? (Or super-cool stepfathers, teenage brothers, uncles, grandfathers, Godfathers, etc.) Daughters must be a current Fusion Dance student in the 24/25 season and be in kindergarten or older; however, daughters may be younger if they are competition company members.
Class time will be divided up by the child’s age group. We will email you the specific times within this Thursday time block once we have groups sorted. If your child has regular classes during this Thursday time block, we will help create a schedule that allows them to do BOTH their regular class and Father/Daughter! In addition to the 5 Thursday class dates (4/17, 4/24, 5/1, 5/8 and 5/15), this class will also meet Saturday, May 17 and Saturday, May 31 from 8:30-10:00am.
Fathers will need to provide their own black athletic joggers/sweatpants and black tennis shoes. Daughters will need to provide their own black booty shorts/athletic shorts, black bra top/cami tank/leotard and tan jazz gore boots.
Please Note: The class fee is set for 1 daughter/1 "father" duo (tuition and costumes for each). If you are wanting to register more than 1 daughter, an additional $25 will be charged to cover the extra daughter's costume. Solo/Duet/Trio Auditions 2025 (All ages)
Dancers planning to join our Competition Company for the 2025-2026 season will have Auditions on Sunday, July 27. There is an optional additional audition if a dancer would like to be selected for a solo/duet/trio. Your dancer needs to prepare a short 30-60 seconds of self-choreography. The sign up for audition times (5 minute increments) will be on the office window during the week of Audition Intensives.
