Ballet & Pre Pointe - Level 3
BALLET 3 & Pre Pointe is an hour and a half-long classical ballet training using the ABT’s National Training Curriculum™. Dancers will build on skills learned in Ballet 2 in a more regimented class with harder combinations and faster footwork. At this level we begin to incorporate pre-pointe strengthening exercises and prepare dancers for level 4 expectations. These dancers are also able to audition for our annual Nutcracker Performance and participate in the Classical Ballet during the Recital.

**Please note that receiving pointe shoes is a multi-step process that is very individualized for each dancer, and always requires a meeting with parents and A Time To Dance staff. In most cases the minimum safe age to receive pointe shoes is 12.

Ready Set Dance - PreDance (Mon.)
READY SET DANCE is a 45-minute combo class that teaches preschoolers the foundations of ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, singing, and music. The class was created by dance studio owners who are experts in preschool dance. Now in over 300 locations, it is widely supported by the dance industry as the best dance class for preschoolers. The program develops the 3 C’s for preschoolers: confidence, coordination, and creativity. These dancers are also able to audition for our annual Nutcracker Performance and participate in the Recital.

BALLET 5 is an hour-and-a-half-long advanced classical ballet training using the ABT’s National Training Curriculum™. Dancers will build on skills learned in Ballet 4 and learn advanced combinations, intricate petite allegro, and train for future dance opportunities after High School, including College dance or Performance opportunities.

Dancers in this level who already have pointe shoes are expected to wear them during class (pending the amount of time "en-pointe"). Exercises to strengthen ankles and feet for pointe shoes are a part of the daily class. Students who would like to be considered to go on-pointe must take two ballet classes per week consistently. These dancers are also able to audition for our annual Nutcracker Performance and participate in the Classical Ballet during the Recital.

Advanced Musical Theatre 4/5 is an hour-long class that combines Dance, Acting, Singing, Scene work, and Choreography. Students will learn the History of Musical Theatre and iconic dance numbers from classic Broadway Productions. These students may participate in the Recital.

Pas de Deux is an hour-long class that explores classical ballet, consisting of assisted turns, jumps, and dancing with a partner. Males must be at least 13 years old, have a strong core, and consistently attend one ballet class per week. Females must be at least 13 years old, have a strong core, consistently attend 2 ballet classes per week, and preferably be able to work in pointe shoes without assistance from the barre.
