Tap Intensive Experience Ages 10 and up
oin us this summer with two different tap intensives! Tap is all about rhythm, musicality, and making music with your feet. Tap Fundamentals is geared towards the beginner/advanced beginner tapper of all ages! We will focus on basic steps, build coordination, and learn about musicality through warm ups, drills, across the floor, progressions and short combinations. The Advanced Intensive is for students who are over 10 who have advanced intermediate to advanced technique. We will be focusing on timing, clarity of sounds, speed, improvisation, and musicality through warm ups, drills, progressions and short combinations. We will also be working on pull backs, wings, and other flash steps. Tap is a fun, brain boosting dance form that strengthens listening skills and body awareness. We hope to see you this summer and remember, no tappy no happy!

They engage in singing, exploring spatial awareness, and diversifying their movement by using colorful props, special songs, and creative imagery and a daily craft. Of equal importance is classroom emphasis on social-emotional connection, peer relationships, and developing a healthy sense of self-awareness. Our nurturing instructors create a caring environment that provides structure while allowing for ample freedom and creativity and fun!

oin us this summer with two different tap intensives! Tap is all about rhythm, musicality, and making music with your feet. Tap Fundamentals is geared towards the beginner/advanced beginner tapper of all ages! We will focus on basic steps, build coordination, and learn about musicality through warm ups, drills, across the floor, progressions and short combinations. The Advanced Intensive is for students who are over 10 who have advanced intermediate to advanced technique. We will be focusing on timing, clarity of sounds, speed, improvisation, and musicality through warm ups, drills, progressions and short combinations. We will also be working on pull backs, wings, and other flash steps. Tap is a fun, brain boosting dance form that strengthens listening skills and body awareness. We hope to see you this summer and remember, no tappy no happy!

Adult Intensive Summer 2026
A personalized 2 day workshop designed to support dancers at every stage of their pointe journey.
Before the intensive begins, dancers will be invited to an optional small group pointe shoe gathering
prior to August 1st focused on everything pointe shoes including fit, preparation, sewing, readiness,
care, and understanding what truly supports healthy pointe work. This gathering is especially helpful
for dancers newer to pointe or those preparing for pointe work in the future.
This intensive is designed to give dancers clarity, confidence, and real understanding of their own
training.
We will focus deeply on:
• the direct relationship between flat work and pointe work
• how to properly get on and off pointe
• alignment and safe technique
• injury prevention and recovery
• preparing the body effectively for class
• building strength, awareness, and confidence
• understanding your individual needs as a dancer
For more experienced dancers en pointe, you will unlock a greater ability to execute choreography and
variations with more intention, strength, control, and confidence.
Alexandra Dickson has been teaching adults for over 25 years and is known for her exceptional
attention to detail, strong eye for alignment, and ability to help dancers progress safely and effectively.
Her approach has helped adult dancers nationwide build lasting confidence and a clearer
understanding of their bodies and technique.
Whether pointe work is in your future or already part of your training, this intensive will help you build a
stronger, safer, and more confident foundation.
