Reet Roy is a professional Urban dance choreographer from Toronto and has become one of the most in-demand dance educator around the world. He is the Director of Canada's premiere Hip Hop company , Rhythm2dance and the faculty member for Millennium Dance Complex, Toronto. Reet had the honour of sharing his craft over in 12 countries and 48 cities over the past 6 years. He has adjudicated and taught masterclasses in USA, Canada, Hong Kong , Ukraine , Switzerland , Iceland , Denmark , France, Spain, Netherlands, India and Mexico. Reet started teaching at the age of 19 but soon after his style started getting recognition he got signed by DanceOn LA agency to pursue his Industry career as well. He was one of the judges for Europe’s Hip Hop International in Kiev, Ukraine. He has been on four European tours in the past 2 years where he had the honour of teaching and judging in multiple hip hop competitions and conventions in Europe. Reet also taught in the same Camp with some of the best dance urban/hip hop educators in the world. Reet has taught and Adjudicated with World of Dance fame Ian Eastwood (Young Lions ) , Scott Forsyth (BrotherHood Dance Company) , Adrian vendiola (Brotherhood dance company) , Jerome Esplana and Americas best Dance Crew winner Chachi Gonzales (IAmme) to name a few. Reet has always been about sharing his craft and style with different communities across the globe and he is looking forward to training the next generation of dancers who are hungry and dedicated to learn and grow with him.

STUDENTS WILL LEARN HOW TO BUILD THEIR FREESTYLE THROUGH REPETITIVE WORK THAT INCORPORATES VARIOUS ADDED ELEMENTS SUCH AS LEVEL CHANGES, TIMING/POCKETS, TEMPO CHANGE, ISOLATIONS, MUSIC CHANGES AND OTHER FREESTYLE CONCEPTS. THE GOAL OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO ALLOW DANCERS TO GAIN A DEEPER UNDERSTANDING OF VARIATIONS AND EXTENSIONS OF EXISITNG VOCABULARY, LEARNING HOW TO DO WHAT THEY ALREADY KNOW HOW TO DO- IN AS MANY WAYS AS POSSIBLE! EARN TO FREESTYLE TO ANY MUSIC, AND BATTLE ANY TYPE OF COMPETITOR. BEST RESULTS WHEN REGISTERED IN ANOTHER TECHNIQUE BASED CLASS LIKE HIP-HOP, POPPING, BREAKING.

Breaking - Power Moves
The Power Move class focuses on dynamic, acrobatic movements involving full-body rotations and spins, emphasizing strength, balance, and flexibility. The class would cover a range of power moves, from foundational ones like the backspin and windmill to more advanced techniques like the flare and headspin, all while focusing on safety and proper technique. Students taking power moves should be enrolled in a breaking class.

Dance in Media
Recreational class that explores the relationship between dance and media. Filming, video editing, social media, TikTok’s, Instagram, Snapchat - so many trends, but how do you stay authentic and appropriate?

This class will build on the choreography creation process, dancer performance, video creation/editing and music edition while sharpening students existing street dance foundations. The hope is to help foster a better understanding of dance and social media and a sense of social media literacy. This class is aimed at dancers with some previous dance experience. Note: though dancers will be occasionally creating videos, they are not to post to social media. Students do not need to have social media accounts or social media experience to take this class. (Ages 11-17)

Battle Training Team
This program is for dancers who want to learn, and/or develop their battle skills! Dancers will explore freestyle, and battle concepts while working on technique, musicality, presence, energy, originality and more.

As a part of this program dancers will attend area dance battles, often in Toronto, as they are announced as well as battle in class.

This program requires dancers to be enrolled in a Freestyle Development class (Mondays & Saturdays) and at least one style specific recreational program (Breaking, Locking, Popping, Waacking, Hip-Hop)

Designed for aspiring young dancers looking to break into the professional world, this class focuses on training and developing the skills and mindset needed to thrive in today’s commercial dance industry. Dancers will level up versatility, polish performance quality, sharpen audition technique, and develop both industry etiquette and on-camera presence, while exploring cutting-edge commercial styles. A great option for dancers serious about pursuing dance beyond the studio. Dancers must have at least 2 years of dance/competitive experience.
