Acting 1
Welcome to Acting 1, taught by Mr. Corbin Adriano!

Acting 1 provides a comprehensive introduction to acting principles, fostering creativity, discipline, and confident self-expression. We will explore:

- Core Acting Techniques: Develop essential skills in voice, movement, character development, and emotional recall. Students will learn how to analyze scripts, create believable roles, and effectively communicate on stage.

- Introduction to Clown: Unleash your inner comedic genius! This unique module delves into the art of physical comedy, exaggerated expression, and understanding comedic timing. Students will learn to embrace vulnerability and connect with an audience through the universal language of laughter, enhancing their stage presence and spontaneity.

- Acting for the Camera: Translate your stage skills to the screen! We'll cover the distinct techniques required for on-camera performance, including understanding differences between on-stage and on-camera acting, hitting marks, nuanced reactions, and adapting performance for different shot sizes. Students will practice cold readings for on-camera auditions.

This course emphasizes collaboration, critical thinking, and a supportive environment for artistic growth. At the end of the class session and on our final day, we will have a presentation for friends and family on some of our work and growth through the class.

Prior experience is helpful but not required. All we ask is for an open mind, a willingness to play, and a passion for storytelling!

The class showcase will take place on Wednesday, September 10th, at 7:00 pm. Location TBD.
