Level 1 Jazz
This class covers the foundational elements of jazz, including basic movements and principles. Students will learn jazz technique, isolations, musicality, and personal expression - all while participating in skill-building games. This class is suitable for students ages 6 to 8 years old. All skill levels welcome, from beginner to more experienced. For students with prior experience, new skills will be introduced. Jazz shoes shoes are required. This class is 1 hour in length. All students enrolled in this class will participate in the session-end recital.

Levels 2 & 3 Jazz Funk (Hip-hop & Jazz)
Jazz Funk covers the foundational elements of jazz and hip-hop. This blended style of dance focuses on isolated movements, coordination, musicality, and personal expression - as well as accelerated movement as the session progresses, allowing beginner and more experienced dancers to progress. Jazz Funk is not an offshoot of either the jazz or funk musical genres. It came into being when dancers merged movements from the world of hip-hop with elements of jazz and other dance styles. All music and movement is age appropriate. This class is suited for students ages 9 to 17 years old - and open to all skill levels, including absolute beginner, immediate, or advanced. Jazz shoes or jazz sneakers strongly preferred, or clean street sneakers required. This class is 1 hour in length. All students enrolled in this class will participate in the session-end recital.

Levels 2 & 3 Tap
This class covers basic tap rhythms and movements, as well as age appropriate accelerated movement as the session progresses - allowing beginner and more experienced tap dancers in this age group to progress. Students will learn a variety of tap styles, including Classical, Broadway and Rhythm. Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement. This class is suitable for students ages 9 to 17 years old. Tap shoes are required. All skill levels welcome. This class is 1 hour in length. All students enrolled in this class will participate in the session-end recital.

Pre-k Ballet and Tap
This class is a fun introduction to dance with a focus in ballet and tap. Students will learn basic ballet and tap movements in addition to various social skills, including the importance of following directions and the value of participating in a group. Students will explore dance while using props and through freedom of expression, as well as receive an introduction to elements of musicality, like tempo. This class is suitable for students ages 3 to 5 years old. Tap and Ballet shoes are required. This class is 45 minutes in length. Students must be ready to function away from their caregiver, and be ready to focus in class, listen, wait their turn, and stay on their spot, among other skills. All students enrolled in this class will participate in the session-end recital.

Levels 1-3 Tumbling
This class covers the basics of tumbling and floor gymnastics in addition to learning acro dance skills. Students will learn skills that focus on flexibility, balance, coordination, concentration, and muscle control. Students will have the opportunity to break out into groups to build skills, allowing for beginner students and intermediate/advanced students to learn and grow. For students new to tumbling, skills will focus on cartwheels, leaps, bridges, splits, handstands and more. For students with more experience, skills may include round offs, backbend kick-overs, front and back walkovers, etc. This class is suitable for students ages 5 to 17 years old. Students must be barefoot in class (i.e. no socks), for safety reasons. This class is 1 hour in length. All students enrolled in this class will participate in the session-end recital.

Pre-k Tumbling

Studio to Stage: Adult Jazz
This class will focus on learning a jazz dance to be performed during the 2025 spring recital. This class will not cover foundational elements of jazz, but will instead focus on learning choreography to be performed. Prior dance experience is welcome, but not required. All skill levels welcome. This class is suitable for students ages 18 and older. Jazz shoes are required. This class is 45-minutes in length. All students enrolled in this class will participate in the session-end recital.

This class covers the foundational elements of ballet, including basic movements and principles. Students will learn ballet technique, etiquette, body alignment, isolations, musicality, and more - all while participating in skill-building games. This class is suitable for students ages 6 to 8 years old. All skill levels welcome, from beginner to more experienced. For students with prior experience, new skills will be introduced. Ballet shoes are required. This class is 1 hour in length. All students enrolled in this class will participate in the session-end recital.

This class covers basic tap rhythms and movements, as well as accelerated movement as the session progresses - allowing both beginner and more experienced tap dancers to progress. This class is suitable for students ages 18 and older. Tap shoes are required. All skill levels welcome. This class is 1 hour in length. All students registered in this class are expected to participate in the session-end recital.

Students enrolled in this class will participate in a session-end performance, held during regularly scheduled class on Monday, December 2, 2024 from 7:00-8:00 pm, the final class for this session.
