Contemporary Level 1
Contemporary dance is a style of concert dance that's characterized by its fluidity, versatility, and freedom of expression. It's a combination of many other dance styles, including ballet, modern, jazz, hip-hop, and street dance, and it also incorporates everyday gestures and improvisation. Contemporary dance is less rigid than traditional dance forms, and dancers can use their own interpretations to transform a performance. The goal is to communicate and express through manipulating the body, time, rhythm, space, gravity, breath, and energy.
