This class is for intermediate and advanced level dancers. Students will be shown and coached on dancer-specific exercises that will help them continue to develop proper technique and safe stretching and strength-building form.
This class is especially recommended for dancers who take multiple classes and plan to take multiple classes in the fall, but anyone who falls into the age/experience range is welcome!

Attire: tight-fitting athletic wear that covers the midriff, or a leotard/tights. Hair pulled back. If you own a yoga block, please bring it!

Session 1 class dates: June 8, 15, 22, 29.

Ballet Basics

Ballet Basics is for any students who fit the age range! Both students with no ballet experience and those who have ballet experience are welcome. The fundamentals of ballet never go out of style, whether you have never danced before or have been dancing forever! Students will go back to the basics during barre exercises, proper stretching, center and across the floor techniques, and will learn ballet combinations that combine everything!

Class Dates: June 10, 17, 24, July 1

This class will feature Jazz, Hip Hop, and Tap technique! No need for any prior knowledge of these styles. We will switch the class structure up every class to give students a chance to experience each style thoroughly.

Attire: tight-fitting athletic wear, hair pulled back. Jazz shoes recommended, but bare feet are welcome! Tap shoes highly recommended, as they are an integral part to safely learning tap technique.

Tumbling, Floorwork, & Inversions Intensive

This is a no-experience-needed intensive where students will learn and practice basic tumbling, floorwork, and inversion (going upside down) skills in a safe environment. Students will be encouraged through exercises in strength, stamina, and body awareness.

Int/Adv Ballet w/Pre-Pointe

Students are taught more complex and strenuous combinations on the barre, in the center, and across the floor. At this point in their dance career, more focus will be placed on gaining strength in the legs and ankles so that students may be prepared physically for the possibility to go en pointe.

*Attire: Leotard, tights, split sole ballet shoes, hair in a bun

Adult Ballet

Adult ballet is the perfect class for those new to the style, or a great refresher course for those who have studied in the past and want to review technique. This class reviews and moves beyond the fundamentals by exploring increasingly more complex movement and a continued development of vocabulary with an emphasis on developing strength and movement quality. This is a class with mixed skill sets and abilities. The class will include barre work, center combinations, and across the floor work.

Class Dates: EVERY THURSDAY June 11-August 27
*Attire: Fitted clothing of student's preference; leotards are optional. Tights or leggings with ballet slippers are required, dance skirts and shorts optional.
