This level introduces more intricate footwork, increased movement quality, and longer combinations at the barre and in center. Ballet 3 students are highly encouraged to attend Pre-Pointe, as once they complete Level 3 and receive teacher approval, they will be eligible to get their first pair of pointe shoes. Pre-Pointe is for Ballet 3 students who are enrolled in and taking regular ballet technique class 3 times per week, helping them build the strength, flexibility, and technique necessary for pointe work. This class focuses on foot and ankle strength, proper alignment, and building the necessary stability to transition safely onto pointe. Pointe is for Ballet 4 students who are ready to dance en pointe, continuing to develop their pointe technique with more challenging exercises and combinations. Emphasis is placed on developing strength, balance, and control to support safe and effective pointe work. Both Pre-Pointe and Pointe students will also have the opportunity to perform in our Spring Showcase, demonstrating their growth and skill en pointe.

At this level, students focus on improving strength, flexibility, and fluidity, with more advanced exercises at the barre, in center, and across the floor. Ballet 4 students will also wear pointe shoes for part of their class time, continuing to develop their pointe technique. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to participate in partnering work, enhancing their collaborative skills and artistry. Ballet 4 students will perform in our Spring Showcase, showcasing their progress and artistry on stage.

On Fridays Ballet 4 & Ballet 5 will be combined. Partnering will be held during this same class from 5:30-6:15pm. Dancers are welcome to invite a partner of their choice.

Partnering is designed for dancers ready to explore the collaborative and technical aspects of dancing with a partner. This class focuses on building trust, communication, and spatial awareness while developing essential partnering skills such as weight sharing, counterbalance, lifts, and supported turns.

Partnering provides dancers with valuable experience working as part of a team while deepening their understanding of connection, timing, and presentation. Students may have opportunities to showcase their partnering work in performances throughout the season.

Ballet 5 is designed for dedicated dancers who are ready to advance their technical precision, artistry, and performance quality. At this level, students engage in more complex and demanding combinations, with a strong emphasis on control, musicality, and expressive movement. Training includes advanced work at the barre, in center, and across the floor, with increased focus on turns, jumps, and seamless transitions.

Dancers in Ballet 5 will continue to strengthen their pointe technique with extended pointe work, developing endurance, alignment, and confidence.

Students are expected to demonstrate discipline, focus, and a commitment to growth as they prepare for a higher level of performance. Ballet 5 dancers will perform in our Spring Showcase, highlighting their technical development and artistic maturity on stage.

Stretch & Strengthen

Stretch & Strengthen is designed to support dancers in building the flexibility, strength, and control needed for safe and effective technique. This class focuses on improving range of motion, core stability, alignment, and overall muscular endurance through a combination of targeted stretching and conditioning exercises.

Dancers will work on lengthening muscles, increasing mobility, and developing the strength required for turns, jumps, extensions, and pointe work. Emphasis is placed on proper technique and injury prevention, helping students move more efficiently and with greater confidence.

Stretch & Strengthen is an excellent complement to ballet training, supporting each dancer’s growth, longevity, and overall performance quality.
