Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) is a strength and conditioning program designed specifically for ballet dancers. Using exercise balls, resistance bands, and targeted movement exercises, students develop core strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, and body awareness while reinforcing proper ballet alignment and muscle memory. PBT helps dancers gain a deeper understanding of how their bodies should work in ballet technique, improving stability, control, and overall performance. This supplemental class supports dancers in building the strength and confidence needed to progress safely and effectively in their ballet training.

In this class, Level 4 and Pre-Professional dancers develop coordination, musicality, stamina, and stylistic versatility through historically inspired choreography and structured exercises. Dancers learn proper use of character technique, including footwork, posture, épaulement, and dynamic rhythm, while wearing character shoes when appropriate. Emphasis is placed on performance quality, style accuracy, and the ability to adapt between classical and character movement.
