2025 Fall Elf Jr.
*Audition Required* Sr. Leads
Actors in the Sr. Leads class will train to become true triple threats as they step into the spotlight as Buddy, Jovie, Walter Hobbs & even Santa himself. Over the course of 10 weeks, they’ll strengthen their acting, vocal, and dance skills while bringing this heartwarming holiday tale to life. Through character work, choreography, and scene blocking, they’ll grow as performers, build confidence, and form meaningful connections—all while spreading festive cheer on stage.
Our Sr. Leads class is recommended for experienced actors who feel confident on stage and have previous experience in singing, acting, or dancing.
*Actors not cast as a Sr. Lead will have the opportunity to join our New Yorker Ensemble*
Rehearsals begin Mon Sept 15 (7:30-9:30) and Wed Sept 17 (7:30-9:30) and run for 10 weeks, with no regular rehearsals running Mon Oct 13 for Thanksgiving Break. All rehearsals WEEKS 1-9 will take place at Studio 89.
WEEK 10: Dress Rehearsal this week will be on Wednesday Nov 26 from 9am-3:30pm at the Crystal Ridge Community Centre.
Leads will also be required to attend an additional rehearsal on Wednesday Oct 15th from 5:30-8pm
.PLEASE NOTE: Not every Sr. Lead cast will be required at every Monday rehearsal. Once we have cast our show, an additional calendar will be made according to which characters need to rehearse when. Larger roles such as (Buddy, Jovie, Santa, Emily, Michael, Walter) may required at more rehearsals.

Production rehearsals will culminate in a final performance run in which the Kidlets will perform in two professional productions of Elf The Musical Jr.! Kidlet A will be performing on Thursday Nov 27 @ 7pm & Saturday Nov 29 @ 1pm

New to DTRH actors will receive their costumes in a re-usable garment bag and be charged an additional $25+hst to your account. If you choose to join future sessions, you will be able to re- use for the next production & your costume fee will be reduced. Previous DTRH actors with costumes bags will be asked to return them at the start of rehearsals.

With a focus on storytelling, stage presence, and ensemble work, they'll take on more advanced choreography and character-building. Along the way, they’ll boost their confidence, sharpen their skills, and form lasting friendships, all while spreading holiday cheer in a show-stopping performance! It’s festive fun, teamwork, and theatre magic rolled into one unforgettable experience.
