Mini Summer Dance Camp “Zootopia’s Jungle Jam”
Our summer program offers young students the opportunity to explore new angles of dance. They will experience creative dance by using their imagination through movement with various props. They will work with rhythms and discover how much fun they can have whether they are tapping their feet or clapping and marching to a beat. Jazz is an all-time favorite as the free spirit within moves to contemporary music. Ballet is the foundation to all types of dance and students will learn the fundamentals and its role in the whole dance experience. The students will also create an art project to tie into the theme of the day. At the conclusion of the week dancers will showcase their work in a performance showcase Thursday, July 23rd 11:30 AM-12:30 PM.

FDA Performance Company Choreography Workshop & Auditions
The Forest Dance Academy Performance Company offers dancers the opportunity to enhance their current performance opportunities beyond the Annual Showcase and Production. The Company is designed for the serious dancer who has chosen the art of dance as their “sport”. Dancers who want to elevate the training of their craft and dance experience study in a more concentrated and intense setting at the studio as they learn choreography in multiple genres for the upcoming competition season. FDA PC Dancers travel to various conventions to train beneath some of the world's top choreographers, dancers and teachers in the industry. PC Dancers also perform in an annual Showcase as they prepare for competition, the LDC Showcase and various Community performances. Being a Company member involves commitment, dedication, passion, and teamwork; however, what is gained from the opportunity of being a Company member is extremely valuable not only as a dancer, but as an individual preparing for their collegiate and professional future careers. Selection to be part of the Performance Company is done through an audition process at the completion of the Choreography Workshop on Thursday August 27th, 5:30PM-8:30PM.
