Day off School means - Circus Time! For ages 6-13yrs. Activities include Chinese pole, rolla bolla, slackline, stilt walking, aerial trapeze, lyra, sling and silks, Hula hooping, juggling and other flow arts.

Please bring water, a snack, socks & shoes, and wear comfortable clothing to move around in (no buttons or zippers please)

Contortion
contortion class pre-requisites: following a vigorous warm-up the student’s arms should be nearly straight in their bridge and they should be comfortable holding the bridge/flowing through exercises in their bridge for at least 20 seconds at a time. The students splits should be flat, or 2-3 inches from flat after a warm-up. More importantly, the student should feel that their body would be safe bending for longer periods of time and have the endurance to work for 2 hours. For age, we are thinking 8yrs-adult, but this is more about maturity than age. Explain to your child that contortion is a large time commitment. Are they willing to do the hard work to keep their body safe. Contortion isn’t abut doing the coolest thing right away - it’s about working hard to be able to do the coolest things for a long time. Though this class will be fun, it will also be challenging. We will work toward goals that may not feel feasible to begin with, but if the student is willing to give their time and dedication to this practice, they will find training contortion to be the rewarding art that it is.

Both deep stretch and contortion will focus on bending safely and efficiently. Students will learn: applied anatomy, understanding the different types of pain and differentiating between discomfort and something that may be harmful to their body, isolation of certain muscles to improve an overall shape, conditioning techniques, warming up and cooling down in flexibility and contortion, progressions for contortion/flexibility, managing hypermobility, and sequencing in flexibility and contortion.

If students plan to take the contortion series, it is recommended that they eat 1.5-2 hours before the first class. We spend a lot of time on our bellies, upside down, and in intense positions. Eating at the right time before class will mitigate any discomfort. Refraining to eat may put a student at risk of dizziness and fainting, please eat something nutritious to fuel your body - just give it time to digest. Please bring and drink plenty of water before, during, and after class. Since this class is upstairs and our water fountain is downstairs, bringing a water bottle is important, so the student does not miss important class material.

Prepare your body for contortion! Muscles, tendons and ligaments all need to be strong enough to be flexible enough to be a contortionist. This class is the prep class for Contortion.
YOU MAY take this class AND the Contortion class following it. Or you may take this class on its own.

2.5-5yr Preschool Gym
Preschool Gym - come tumble and FLY! For ages 2.5-5 years. The first goal of this class is to encourage these students to work with the instructor without the help of their parents. This may take time, but that's okay! Activities include listening games, obstacle course, hanging on apparatuses, cooperative games, and meditation time.

This class is for all levels over L1 Fabrics. Prerequisites: able to invert in the air consistently, be able to do cross back straddle, 360 drop.

Chinese Pole
Learn to climb and invert on a pole! This pole is thicker than a traditional dance pole and is coated in rubber.
Google Chines Pole Cirque du Soleil to gain more insight.
