Key Requirements & Policies:
- Summer Attendance: Students must maintain attendance in classes over the summer to keep their current approved level.
- Taking Summer Off: If a student decides to take the summer off from their new level, they will return to their current Spring level at the start of the Fall Season. Instructors will assess and approve them when ready.
- Class Requirements (Jazz, Lyrical/Contemporary, Pre-Pointe): All Level 2 classes in Jazz and Lyrical/Contemporary, as well as Pre-Pointe, require students to also be enrolled in a stretch class and a ballet class.
- Training & Progression: Our Summer Classes are an intensive program focused on growth, technique, and progression to new levels. Dancers who take the summer off will miss 5 weeks of training and will not be at the same level as those who attended.
- Fall Placement Adjustments: While we understand some students choose to take the summer off, others are intent on progressing. This changes leveling requirements, meaning students who take the summer off may no longer meet the requirements for a level they might have qualified for in June.

This class is a combination of deep stretching and body conditioning, as well as cardio to increase endurance for the dancer. The class includes various exercises to strengthen the entire body. Strong muscles are vital for protecting the body and of course improving dance skills! Healthy muscles are important to let you move freely and keep your body strong. Yoga blocks, therabands and other aids may be used to enhance the effects of the class. 1 parent per dancer in the waiting room. Dress Code: comfortable clothing, bare feet, hair pulled back off of the face. No baggy clothing please. NOT IN RECITAL.

Basic dance techniques, terminology and classroom skills are taught in a fun and relaxed setting with familiar music and age appropriate exercises. Suitable for all genders. Parents will assist with the ultimate goal of the child dancing independently. 1 parent per student in the Waiting Room.

Costume Details - Walk/Wave
Price includes: entrance fee, costume*, headpiece*, 1 tight.
*This costume will also be used for the Whittier Christmas Parade and Holiday Sonata.

--Tan or skin toned Tights
--Hair: High Ponytail
--Headpiece will be provided
The parade route is long for very young students & may need to ride in a wagon. The price is $10 & they can dress as any animal while riding in the wagon.
