Ballet level 1
Ballet is the basis of all other dance forms and can strongly enhance any athletic activity. We strongly encourage ballet to be taken in conjunction with any other dance class. It is slower pace working on grace, proper placement and posture; body positions, plies, tendus, battements, port de bras and much more. Emphasis will be placed on technique, discipline, structure, terminology, as well as instilling an appreciation and enjoyment of movement. Dancers will focus work on two routines for the spring recital.

It includes a wide range of styles including the basics of breaking, locking and popping. Theres more of a workout stretch, learning to get low, keep stamina with some across the floors consisting of attitude, lunges, cartwheels, floor slides and rolls ect. They will perform 2 routines in the spring recital.

Lyrical is a mix between jazz and ballet. Lyrical encourages dancers to be versatile in their expressions, being able to portray a wide array of movement styles and emotions. It focuses on special and body awareness, use of body weight, floor work, leaps, turns, efficiency of muscle usage, and safe body alignment. You will do across the floors with technique, learning battement sequences, turning combos and leaping sequences. They will learn a lyrical and jazz routine for the spring recital.

Dancers are starting to know their positions along with new dance terms and technique. We do technique across the floor such as battements, releves, turning, chasses, leaps and more. Simple routine in both ballet and jazz will be taught for the spring recital.

They will do technique across the floor, learning pirouettes, battements, turning and leaps. A routine in both ballet and jazz will be taught for the spring recital. We still make it fun by doing a few fun dances throughout class.

Precompetition Pearls
(ages 5 and up) – This is a more focused and disciplined class, its more competitive. If you are trying to decide if you want your dancer to be on a competition team but still unsure this is the class for you! You can choose to do 1X week for $35 month. This is a 45 minute class that will include a jazz and lyrical routine for the spring recital and a nearby competition. To get more of a feel for competition up your practice time to 2X week. Your dancer would join one of the mini 1-3 classes for an extra $15 month. Choose to perform the mini class dances or just to practice them. If you choose to perform them an additional costume fee will be added and they will perform 4 dances in the spring recital. This is a more advanced minis class.
(ages 5 and up) – This is a more focused and disciplined class, its more competitive.
