Competition Duet/Trio
All duet/trios are placed at the discretion of the instructor. Competition dancers will only be placed into a duet/trio if they meet all requirements.
1) Minimum of 3 consecutive complete years in dance.
2) Minimum of 2 consecutive complete years of dance in the dance style of which the dancer will be doing the duet/trio.
3) Duet/trio dances will only be done in a style that all dancer’s are enrolled in a class during the 2025-2026 dance season.
4) Class attendance must be taken seriously.
5) Intermediate to advanced level skills must be adequate for the style of dance in which the dancer is performing.
6) We will only form duets and trios with dancers that have similar abilities, work ethic, strengths, etc together.
7) Instructor picks the song and style that best suits your dancer.
8) Should group routines become an issue, we will put the dancers’ duet/trio on hold

Competition Solo
Solo’s will be open to any competition dancer who would like to do a solo for competitions only. This solo will be performed in our February showcase rehearsal and competitions only. Solo’s are not guaranteed to be in our end of year recital or home show performances. Solo dances will only be done in a style that the dancer is enrolled in a class during the 2025-2026 dance season. We recommend dancers having a minimum of 2 years experience in the style they will be performing

ACRO
ACRO dance focuses on the combination of dance and acrobatic elements. Students will use strength and flexibility to perform gymnastic based tricks combined into a dance routine. Students will learn skills such as chin stands, walk overs, bridges, back bends, cartwheels, hand stands, and more.
Students will be required to attend a placement testing session for all pre-acro and acro classes

Ballet
Dancers grades 2nd - 12th looking to gain ballet training in strength, poise, grace, and condition along with music appreciation. Dancers will learn proper alignment, positions, turnout, posture, and movement vocabulary. Classes include both work at the ballet barre and center floor work.

Dancers will learn a variety of ways to articulate their feet to create many different percussive sounds in tap as well as learn proper ballet technique including body placement, ballet positions, transition steps and more.

Dancers will learn a variety of ways to articulate their feet to create many different percussive sounds in tap as well as learn proper jazz technique including body placement, rhythmic exercises, transition steps and more.

Contemporary dance focuses on expression during movement. Students will learn different dance concepts such as suspension, release, contraction, and weight shifting. Students will dance to music with more dramatic movements to show emotions.

Hip hop is a form of street dance that is full of energy, spunk and personality. Dancers will learn how to isolate different parts of their body while making movements strong and filled with personality.

Jazz is a modern interpretation of ballet. Dancers will learn proper jazz technique including body placement, rhythmic exercises, jumps, turns, tricks, kicks, floor work, and transition steps. Dancers will dance to quick tempo beats and the choreography will be full of dramatic accents and fun.

All competition dancers will be participate in a placement testing session and be placed into classes based on skills and performance level.
