This class introduces young dancers to hip hop rhythm, basic footwork, beginning breakdancing and grooves. Dancers learn about the history of hip hop and where it comes from. Dress code is sweat pants and loose fitting t-shirts with indoor only high top sneakers. Please no jeans or dresses.

This class is for Kindergartners and 1st Graders.

This combo class introduces young dancers to the three foundational pillars of dance: Ballet, Jazz, and Tap! By dividing the class into distinct, fast past segments, it keeps young dancers energized, focused and excited. Students will develop the grace of ballet, the rhythm of tap, and the sassy energy of jazz, making it the perfect comprehensive introduction to dance. Dress code is a leotard (any color) with pink tights or bike shorts. Footwear is ballet shoes and tap shoes. Hair is pulled back in a pony tail or bun.

Our MiniRhythms classes are designed to nurture young children’s love of movement in a fun, supportive, and developmentally appropriate environment. Throughout each 45-minute class, dancers build confidence, coordination, creativity, and social skills through dance.

Classes begin with a simple circle time and warm up followed by engaging dance and movement games that encourage balance, rhythm, listening, and gross motor development. Young dancers are then introduced to the foundations of ballet and tap, learning basic positions, steps, and musicality through age-appropriate instruction. Each class is completed with a short performance of a dance the students will have learned during class for their families.

Contemporary 2/Jazz
For dancers 4th grade and up (required teacher approval)

Contemporary Jazz Level 2 involves beg./int. ballet training, expressive musical storytelling, and dynamic choreography that blends sharp jazz lines with fluid contemporary movement, and acrobatics. This class is for students that have been taking jazz, contemporary, or ballet for 2-3 years or have a gymnastics background. Teacher approval is required to register for this class. Dress code is form fitting leotard/ tank top and tight leggings/shorts. Students dance barefoot or with dance paws. Hair is pulled back in a pony tail or bun.

Dancers begin to establish the fundamentals of classical Ballet, barre work is introduced and an emphasis is placed on linking steps and musicality. Ballet class etiquette is also introduced.
