Dancer Yoga Series - Ms Dani
6-week yoga training series specifically designed for our dancers. The class would blend power yoga, hatha yoga, and yin yoga to help dancers develop strength, mobility, recovery tools, and body and breath awareness that directly support their dance training.
While dance classes build technique and choreography, yoga can provide the cross-training component that strengthens the smaller stabilizing muscles, improves joint integrity, and teaches dancers how to safely lengthen and release tight areas from repetitive movement. This can help reduce injuries, improve flexibility, build endurance, and support better alignment in turns, jumps, and extensions.
June 18th - Week 1 – Foundations & Body Awareness
Introduction to breath, alignment, and posture. Dancers learn how to activate stabilizing muscles and build awareness of how their body moves and supports itself.
June 25th - Week 2 – Strength & Stability
Power yoga sequences to build strength in the core, hips, ankles, and feet — essential for turns, jumps, and balance.
July 2nd - Week 3 – Mobility & Flexibility
Hatha-based stretching to safely increase range of motion in areas dancers commonly struggle with (hamstrings, hip flexors, back, shoulders).
July 9th - Week 4 – Injury Prevention
Focus on joint stability, muscle balance, and proper loading of the body to support longevity in dance training.
July 23rd - Week 5 – Recovery & Release
Yin yoga techniques to release deep fascia, support muscle recovery, and reduce overuse tension.
July 30th - Week 6 – Integration for Dance Performance
Combining strength, mobility, and breath to help dancers move more efficiently and confidently in their technique.

Yoga for Dancers
Become a dancer who is strong, flexible, controlled and deeply connected to your body.
Alongside your regular dance training, Yoga for Dancers will help you develop greater awareness of how your muscles engage, how your breath supports movement, and how to use your entire body with intention.
Through a blend of strength, balance, flexibility and breathwork, you'll build a stronger core, improve mobility and stability, increase body control, and learn how to breathe through challenging movement rather than holding tension.
You'll become a dancer who doesn't just do the movement — you understand and control the body creating it.

Yoga for Dancers
Yoga training series specifically designed for our dancers.
Focus areas include:
Foundations & Body Awareness
Introduction to breath, alignment, and posture. Dancers learn how to activate stabilizing muscles and build awareness of how their body moves and supports itself.
Strength & Stability
Power yoga sequences to build strength in the core, hips, ankles, and feet — essential for turns, jumps, and balance.
Mobility & Flexibility
Hatha-based stretching to safely increase range of motion in areas dancers commonly struggle with (hamstrings, hip flexors, back, shoulders).
Injury Prevention
Focus on joint stability, muscle balance, and proper loading of the body to support longevity in dance training.
Recovery & Release
Yin yoga techniques to release deep fascia, support muscle recovery, and reduce overuse tension.
Integration for Dance Performance
Combining strength, mobility, and breath to help dancers move more efficiently and confidently in their technique.
