The focus of this class is proper, basic ballet alignment and technique, as well as age-appropriate
methods of stretching with the goal to support our younger dancers in the proper execution of the art
of leaps and turns. This is an EXTRA class designed to ADD TO THE BASIC TRAINING of our younger
dancers. It is REQUIRED that ALL students who ADD this class must also be currently enrolled in a
ballet and jazz class. If a student is NOT a Tiny Competition Team member, they must have permission
from the instructor, Tara Wells, before enrolling in the class. NO EXCEPTION!

THIS CLASS WILL ONLY MEET FOR 20 MINUTES THE FIRST 4 WEEKS OF CLASS to assist in the transition of this age group to the class environment. A full 30-minute class will be implemented at the discretion of the teacher. This easy start has proven to help them ease into their dancing experience.
Tiny 2's
A magical intro. to song, dance, and make-believe. Students will explore music and movement through guided activities. Practice listening skills, learn patience in a classroom environment, and take turns, share, and make friends.

This class meets from 10:00am-11:20pm and will lead right into the MMYB Company Rehearsal at 11:30

Teen Tumbling
Teen Tumbling is a class offered for middle and high school-age students.
It will consist of all the beginning-level tricks: tripods, headstands, bridges, forward rolls, backward rolls, cartwheels, and working on technique to move on to more advanced skills. Having a backward roll and a cartwheel are requirements. This class will cover all curriculum standards for Tumbling levels 1-3.
The Teen Tumbling student has the option to move at a faster pace as they pick up the different tricks. These decisions are made by the instructor.

Girls:
Leotard – any style, any color, or any form-fitting attire
Bare feet – NO socks or tights
Hair must be secured in a ponytail or low bun
Boys:
Shirt and shorts
No loose clothing
Bare feet – NO socks
Long hair must be secured and pulled off the face
