Elite Performance Camp 2026
Elite Camp Week 1
This camp is designed for students that are interested in being a member of our Elite Performance Company throughout the dance year. Dancers will concentrate on technique in multiple styles of dance while learning choreography that will be performed around the community. Guest instructors will engage dancers in new styles and challenge them to improve their overall abilities. Dancers will have fun crafting and learning makeup and hair while also dedicating time to polishing their dance skills!

Petite Ballet (age 7-9)
For dancers aged 7-9.
Ballet is the basis for all western dance forms and is strongly recommended for all of our dancers at Harmony Dance Academy.Emphasis is placed on body alignment, arm position, turnout, flexibility, fluidity, precision, and strength. Ballet develops fine muscle control, balance, flexibility, and technique which is a tremendous benefit for all other forms of dance taught at Harmony. Strong ballet technique may be required for admission into advanced level classes. In addition ballet terminology and technique is typically used and expected in many other disciplines including most tap, jazz, acro, and lyrical classes. Dancers will perform at least 1 dance at the annual recital.

Tap utilizes rhythm, syncopation, and sound in addition to movement. An emphasis is placed on musicality, expression, and improvisation. Tap students are continually challenged with new steps and combinations at all levels. Advanced students are expected to be fluent with all core tap steps including the five basic time steps (both Buck and Rhythm variations). Dancers will perform at least 1 routine in the annual recital.

Explore the joy of movement with your child as props and pre-school music are used in a creative, fun-filled, learning environment. A parent or guardian is asked to stay in the classroom either to participate or to encourage the new student. Toilet training is not required for this class. Wiggles and Giggles dancers are invited to perform one routine in the annual recital. The teacher and/or assistants may accompany dancer onstage ( if necessary) to perform. Please, only 1 grown-up per dancer and no siblings, infants O.K.

Correct terminology is taught for all types of dance. This class consists of 30 minutes of ballet and 30 minutes of tap. Parents may watch from the waiting room or leave and return for pick-up at the end of class. If your child needs help using the bathroom, we ask you to stay in the waiting area if she/he needs to go during class time. Dancers will perform two routines (one ballet and one tap) in the annual recital.

This class is designed to give all our 10 year old and up students experience in performing and to develop their talents in Singing, Dancing and Acting. This helps them become more comfortable with performing in front of others as well as to become Triple Threat performers. Stage make-up and costuming will also be explored as we work together to create something amazing to present at the annual recital!

Center work includes isolations, arm and head moves in basic patterns that are fun and challenging. Traveling exercises are geared to develop coordination and flow of movement. This class focuses on developing strong lines, strengthening the dancer's technique, and understanding the body's center of movement. Students will also focus on acrobatic and tumbling moves that will enhance their dance skills and routines. An emphasis will be placed on flexibility, stretch, and balance to increase technique on an individual level. Students will be taught proper technique for landing and supporting one another in partner work. Dancers will perform two routines (one hip hop and one acro) in the annual recital.

Dancers will perform at least 1 routine in the annual recital.

Wiggles and Giggles C (ages18mos.-2.5y)
Wiggles and Giggles ( My Grown Up and Me)- Ages 18 mos.-2.5yrs.-45 minute class
Explore the joy of movement with your child as props and pre-school music are used in a creative, fun-filled, learning environment. A parent or guardian is asked to stay in the classroom either to participate or to encourage the new student. Toilet training is not required for this class. Wiggles and Giggles dancers are invited to perform one routine in the annual recital. The teacher and/or assistants may accompany dancer onstage ( if necessary) to perform. Please, only 1 grown-up per dancer and no siblings, infants O.K.

Intro To Dance 1/2 B ages 3 and 4
Intro to Dance 1/2- Ages 3 and 4 (as of September 1, 2026)
Dancers will learn the beginning steps of ballet and the rhythmic skills of elementary tap. Dancers will also be exposed to the basic elements of tumbling. Correct terminology is taught for all types of dance. This class consists of 30 minutes of ballet and 30 minutes of tap. Parents may watch from the waiting room or leave and return for pick-up at the end of class. If your child needs help using the bathroom, we ask you to stay in the waiting area if she/he needs to go during class time. Dancers will perform two routines (one ballet and one tap) in the annual recital.

Acro 2 ages 7 and up
Please contact the Director for placement in Acro classes. Dancers are expected to have their standing backbend for admission to this class.
Acrobatics is similar to gymnastics but does not include any of the apparatus (balance beam, uneven bars, vault).Students will focus on acrobatic and tumbling moves that will enhance their dance skills and routines. An emphasis will be placed on flexibility, stretch, and balance to increase technique on an individual level. Students will be taught proper technique for landing and supporting one another in partner work. In addition, acro study at Harmony relies on a strong technical foundation. Dancers will perform at least 1 routine in the annual recital.

Musical Theater 1 (ages 5y-9y)
A hour and a half long, weekly introduction to musical theater class for students aged 5-9 years (as of September 1, 2026. This class is designed to give all our 5-9 year old students experience in performing and to develop their talents in Singing, Dancing and Acting. This helps them become more comfortable with performing in front of others as well as to become Triple Threat performers. Stage make-up and costuming will also be explored as we work together to create something amazing to present at the annual recital!
A hour and a half long, weekly introduction to musical theater class for students aged 5-9 years (as of September 1, 2026.
