XLD's Award Winning Competition Team is for dancers passionate about elevating their talent & training. This program is an 11.5 month commitment (August-July) built to foster a love for dance while focusing on technique, discipline and overall performance quality. Dancers compete in regional and national competitions, community events, school programs, halftime entertainment to the NBA, holiday parades as well as the opportunity to attend dance conventions throughout the year. Conventions are a great way for dancers to train with various dance and industry professionals as well as in different styles of dance. Our Company consist of our Rookie, Competitive, Elite and Convention Programs.

Tiny Mover Ballet/Jazz Combo
Tiny Mover Ballet/Jazz combo is a themed introductory level class designed to develop coordination, strength, dance technique, rhythm, and body awareness in a caring, exciting, nurturing environment. This class uses props to build excitement for the overall learning experience and is an excellent way for children to be introduced to the many benefits of the performing arts. Dancers focus on 2 performance based dances through-out the season all in preparation for taking the stage at our annual winter and spring recitals. Dancers age 3-5 are welcome to join.
Dancers age 3 are welcome to join with Teacher approval. Dancers must be potty trained and able to participate in class without parent attendance.

This class includes an across the floor warm-up focused on strength and flexibility. The rest of the class is focused on learning new turns, leaps, jumps and technical choreography.

Adv Hip Hop
Hip Hop III is an Advanced - Pre Professional Commercial Level class designed to challenge the dancers with emphasis on learning various hip hop styles, extending the length of choreography learned and with a rotation of multiple teachers. These classes are for dancers who like self-expression, physical challenges, and healthy competition. Dancers learn 4 dances a month to build retention, movement quality and train for industry level auditions.
Dancers participate in our annual winter and spring recitals. Dancers 8 + are welcome to join. Teacher approval required. Dancers enrolled in Hip Hop II may drop in to Hip Hop III at an additional drop in rate fee.

Our Jazz & Technique I class introduces the fundamentals of jazz dance, including basic techniques, terminology, and choreography. Students learn:

Isolation: Of the body, footwork, jumps, leaps, and turns
