The most important aspect of our Creative Movement 1 class is building the confidence for dancers to consistently participate in class independently. The first few weeks for new dancers may be challenging to have your dancer walk into the room on their own, but that is both expected and normal! Over the first few weeks your teacher and teacher assistant will encourage the dancer, at their own pace, to build this confidence. All of our dancers who have made it through the challenging classes are now always the first at the door to enter class and cannot wait to start each week!

Creative Movement classes will consist of ballet, tap, and acro curriculum. Dancers will perform one routine in the recital. The teacher will decide on either a tap or ballet routine. This class is 45 minutes long.

*This class is recommended for dancers with previous experience in acro, gymnastics, and/or tumbling. Dancers are expected to have a confident standing backbend, handstand hold, and cartwheels on both sides. Individual goals for this class include front and back limbers, front and back walkovers, confident balancing skills, aerials, and backhandsprings.

**After our summer break, this class time will change to 6:45-7:45pm.

The teacher will guide participating adults how to best assist their dancer. Most of our students in this class start with a lot of help form their guardian but end the season participating in class independently and confidently! This class will perform one tap routine in the recital. This class is 30 minutes long.
