Advanced Acting
In the TEEN CLASS, students engage in special projects and explore the concepts of Meisner, Adler and other Acting Schools. We focus on the reality of doing, text analysis and character development. Students receive master classes from local professionals in improvisation, basic voice and speech techniques, and film acting. Classes are safe zones where all opinions are listened to and the student's mental health is of the utmost importance. The class will also produce 1 play and a night of original one acts during the year.

Dance for Actors
DANCE FOR ACTORS: Find Your Feet!
For the singer, actor…and “I’m not a dancer” dancer.
If you’ve ever said “I can’t dance,” “I have two left feet,” or strategically positioned yourself in the back row when choreography starts—this class was made for you.
Renata designed this class especially for performers whose strongest skills may be acting and singing, but who want to become more confident movers. You do not have to walk through the door already knowing how to dance. That’s why you’re taking the class!
Dance training develops much more than dance technique. Students will work on coordination, balance, rhythm, spatial awareness, body control, flexibility, musicality, memory and the ability to pick up choreography more quickly—skills that benefit performers both onstage and off.
And yes, sometimes we’ll turn the wrong direction. Forget a step. Trip over our own feet. Look around and wonder how everyone else suddenly knows what they're doing.
That’s part of learning.
With decades of experience as a dancer, choreographer and instructor, Renata believes movement skills can be taught, practiced and improved. Progress looks different for every student, and this class provides a supportive place to take risks without worrying about being the “best dancer in the room.”
Students will explore choreography and performance styles used throughout the commercial entertainment industry, including Broadway, television, film, music videos, theme parks, cruise lines, concerts, tours and more. Special attention will be given to the skill every musical theatre performer eventually needs: acting while dancing instead of simply trying to remember the steps!
For the student who already loves to dance, this class will strengthen performance skills.
For the student who thinks they can’t dance, this class may change their mind.
And for every actor and singer who has ever dreaded hearing the words “Okay, everyone up—we're going to learn the dance combination…”
This one's for you.
Come find your rhythm, build your confidence and discover what your body can learn.
You don't have to be a dancer to start.
You have to start to become one.

Ballet (Beginner) - Ages 11 & up
BEGINNER BALLET
No experience. No pressure. Just start.
Think ballet isn't for you? Think again.
Ballet is the foundation of nearly every style of theatrical dance, and you don't have to have started at age four—or know what a plié is—to benefit from it.
This class is designed for students who are new to ballet, returning after time away, or simply want to strengthen the fundamentals they may have missed along the way. Students will learn ballet vocabulary and technique while developing coordination, balance, posture, alignment, flexibility, strength and body awareness.
Why does that matter?
Because ballet teaches your body how to move.
For musical theatre performers, ballet training can improve turns, jumps, extensions, lines, balance and the ability to learn choreography more quickly. It also develops the control and strength needed to move confidently across a stage—whether you're performing classical choreography or dancing in a Broadway musical.
And don't worry: nobody expects perfection.
There will be wobbles. There will be forgotten combinations. There will probably be a moment when your brain says “right” and your foot confidently chooses “left.”
That's why it's called Beginner Ballet.
Students will work at the barre and in the center while learning proper technique in a supportive environment that emphasizes individual progress rather than comparison.
You don't need a “ballet body.” You don't need years of training. You don't even need to think of yourself as a dancer.
You just need to be willing to learn. Build strength. Improve flexibility. Gain coordination. Understand your body. Become a stronger performer. And maybe discover that ballet isn't nearly as scary as you thought.
Ages 9-13 | Beginner Level | No Previous Ballet Experience Required
