Pre-Ballet is an introduction to ballet basics using methods designed for young imaginative minds and bodies. SSBYD Specialty Class
Welcome to the SSBYD Specialty Class!
In this unique program, students will strengthen their pointe work while refining their technique and artistry. The class will include learning solos from a principal dancer, partnering work, and yoga to enhance strength and flexibility. Special features such as Career Day will also be included to inspire and inform students about professional pathways in dance.

This class is offered free of charge to all SSBYD students.

2 Week Junior Intensive
The Junior Intensive is designed for the more serious ballet student. The focus will be on ballet and pointe technique for the older student, while the younger student will work on strengthening to prepare for the more serious study of ballet. There will be a jazz class daily, character classes, Pilates and stretch classes, and rehearsals for the end-of-session performance. This is an intensive program for the serious student to focus on developing as a dancer. The final performance will take place at the Lobero Theater on August 1.

Lion King Mini Camp
The State Street Ballet Academy Mini-Dance Camps include ballet technique, jazz, tap, art, drama, and rehearsal for the end-of- session performance on the final Friday. The consistency of daily study of dance helps students improve their skills and allows them to improve rapidly.

Contemporary and Choreography Camp
Contemporary & Choreography camp is for dancers who want to get creative and expand their horizons! Daily classes contemporary technique, choreography seminars, and a chance to choreograph. This camp includes an informal showing on Friday at 6pm in the studio.

SSBYD Audition Camp
Get back in shape this summer and join us for our SSBYD audition camp! This camp will include technique & pointe as well as the opportunity to learn the Rudolph & Clara variations for the SSBYD/Rudolph/Nutcracker audition. This camp is strongly encouraged but not a prerequisite to audition.
PLEASE NOTE: Only students level 3B and up may audition for SSBYD. Students in the lower camp may attend the camp for experience, but are not eligible to audition.
