Kreative Kids 4-6
Come join us for this free 30-minute sample of our dance class for dancers aged 4-6 on Wed., Aug. 27th!
Kreative Kids 4-6 (KK4-6) is normally a 1 hour class each week and includes a 1/2 hour ballet and a 1/2 hour tap. Ballet helps children gain coordination, grace and poise, muscle strength, alignment and posture, and team concepts. It is the foundation for all other dance forms. Most children love tap because in tap, dancer's feet create rhythmic sounds. Tap dancing is often high energy with upbeat music. Although these classes are starting to take the form of structured, classical classes, the ballet and tap technique is still taught in a fun, game-like atmosphere to increase interest and learning. Each class is based on the developmental trajectory of 4-6 year olds.

Modern I-II
Modern is a free, expressive style of dancing started in the early 20th century as a rebellion against the formality and structure of ballet. It focuses on a dancer's own interpretations instead of structured steps, as in traditional ballet dancing. There is more dependence and use of gravity and a fall and swing feeling that gives modern a very fluid feeling. This class is designed for students with limited or no previous Modern experience.
