My Grown Up and Me
A music and movement class for children (18 months-3 years) and their parents/guardians. Students will be introduced to basic dance steps, rhythm and following directions. This class helps students develop gross motor skills, coordination, confidence and self-esteem.

In this class, dancers will be introduced to a variety of dance styles such as jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop and acrobatics. Students will begin to learn basic dance technique while participating in creative movement and using their imagination. This is a great class to help our youngest dancers improve their gross motor skills and self confidence.

Musical Theater (Age 7+)
*Must be enrolled in at least one jazz and/or lyrical class to take this class.
One of our most popular classes! This jazz-based class incorporates the style of dancing one would see on a Broadway stage. Students work on their storytelling ability by connecting their movements and facial expressions to enhance their performance skills. A typical Musical Theatre class includes a warm up, acting, movement and improv games and dance combinations. This class fills up FAST so don't wait to register!

Peewee Combo (Age 5-6)
Must be 5 by September 1st

In this class, dancers will be introduced to a variety of dance styles including jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop and acrobatics. The purpose of this introductory class is to help students develop motor skills through a variety of movements. This combo class focuses on learning basic dance vocabulary, improving flexibility, balance and learning choreography helping to boost dancers' confidence both on and off the stage.

Beg/Int. Jazz (Age 11+)
A beginner/intermediate jazz class for students 11+ and/or 3+ years of jazz experience.

Jazz combines techniques of ballet, modern and popular dance. Jazz is a fun, upbeat and expressive style of dance. Classes focus on increasing strength, flexibility, rhythm, isolations and personal expression. This class is a great option for students who have some jazz dance experience and are working towards intermediate and advanced level classes. This class is also a great option to take in conjunction with another jazz class to boost technique. Through this class, students will hone in on the technique needed to progress to a higher level class.

Intermediate Lyrical (Age 11+)
Must have prerequisite knowledge of dance terminology and ability to independently execute skills such as chaine turn, plie, pose, 5 positions of ballet, chasse etc. Students without knowledge or ability to perform these steps will be asked to join the beginner level class.

Lyrical dance is a fusion of ballet and jazz techniques where the choreography utilizes movement that expresses the emotions of the lyrics in the song. This class is a great option for students who have some lyrical dance experience and are working towards intermediate and advanced level classes. This class is also a great option to take in conjunction with another lyrical class to boost technique. Through this class, students will hone in on the technique needed to progress to a higher level class.

A jazz class for students with 3+ years of jazz dance experience. To enroll in this class, students must have prerequisite knowledge of and be able to independently perform the following terms:
5 jazz positions, chasse, chaine, pirouette, ball change, battement, lindy, pas de bouree, grapevine, pivot, jete, jazz box/square.

A beginner/intermediate tap class for students 11+ and/or 3+ years of tap experience.

In this tap class, students will work on basic tap technique, rhythm and musicality. Dancers will work on mastering tap steps such as shuffle, flap, Irish, buffalo, maxi ford, cramp roll, paradiddle, drawback, waltz clog, and Shirley Temple. This class is a great option for students who have some tap dance experience and are working towards intermediate and advanced level classes. This class is also a great option to take in conjunction with another tap class to boost technique.

Turns and Leaps (Age 9+)
This 45 minute technique class will focus on developing the skills needed to properly execute various turns and leaps through exercises to improve strength, flexibility and coordination. Students will work on turns such as pirouettes, a la seconde turns and fouette turns and leaps such as jete, switch leaps, calypso leap and more. This class is HIGHLY recommended for any intermediate and advanced dancer and for dancers wishing to move up into intermediate and advanced classes.

This class does not perform in the Winter recital.

Int. Acro (Age 7+)
An intermediate acro class for students with previous experience. Students in this class MUST be able to do a forward roll, cartwheel with straight legs and a backbend from standing. Any student that is unable to do these on the first day of class will be moved into beginner acro.


This class does not perform in the Winter recital.

Voice (Age 7-10)
Voice class provides students with the basic foundations of singing technique along with an introduction to vocal performance, repertoire, and appreciation.
Vocal lessons help you, as a singer, to achieve a finer grasp of a musical style, performance techniques, focus, proper articulation, and delivery. You will learn how to use proper breath support, increase vocal range, sing with ease and clarity and learn to project your voice.

This class will introduce students to the techniques used by actors who play musical and straight play theater scenes. Basic acting techniques will be taught through theater games as well as skits.
Students will be given lessons in freeing the body of nervous tension, projection, articulation as well as developing confidence, presence, and emotional expressivity.

Theater classes have been proven to enhance a child's Confidence, Public Speaking, Teamwork, Poise, Conversation, Social skills, and more!

Acro class combines dance technique with acrobatic elements. It is a fusion of dance and gymnastics where students work on strength and flexibility and learn skills such as rolls, backbends, cartwheels and more. This new class is being offered by invitation and audition only. Students enrolled in this class must have displayed a focused work ethic in the previous dance session, have had good attendance and 3+ years of dance experience. Having 3 years dance experience does not automatically mean students are ready for this class.
