June Jr. Mini-Intensive
The Junior Mini-Intensive is designed for the dedicated younger dancer. For two days only, take part in the first two classes in our Mini-Intensive, at the beginner/intermediate level. Dancers will enjoy 2.5 hours of classes each evening in a focused, fast-paced environment. Guest teachers and some of your favorite HSDA instructors! Offered to dancers entering grades 4 ad 5, ages 9-11.

June Intensive Add-On: A Day-Your-Way in NYC!
That's right, we are bound for New York City! For anyone who participated in the June Adult Intensive or one of our June Mini-Intensives, hop on the bus for a day-your-way in NYC. Take classes, go shopping, see a show...whatever makes your Big Apple dreams come true. Any youth dancer participating is required to have an adult chaperone.
Bus will depart HSDA at 7:00 a.m., and will leave the city around 7:00 p.m., returning to the studio around 10:00 p.m.
That's right, we are bound for New York City! For anyone who participated in the June Adult Intensive or one of our June Mini-Intensives, hop on the bus for a day-your-way in NYC. This new class will blend strength and flexibility with introductory acrobatic skills. A portion of class will be devoted to conditioning the body, and a portion of the class will be spent on introducing and practicing skills such as rolls, bridges, and basic inversions.

Summer Pilates for Dancers
Pilates is a wonderful way to improve mobility and grow in bodily awareness and control. In this class, students will strengthen and lengthen their abdominals, back, glutes, hamstrings, arms, and more. A heavy emphasis is placed on spinal articulation and moving intentionally with the breath - a fantastic supplement for dancers who are looking to improve their coordination, control, mind-body connection, and stability.

Summer Street Jazz
Street Jazz combines elements of hip hop and commercial jazz into a dynamic style that emphasizes choreography, improvisation, and performance to create a powerful and confident dancer. Dancers will unleash their creativity through improvisation, and learn to quickly pick up choreography in various combinations throughout the year. Students will gain stage presence and boost their confidence through in-class performances while being uplifted by their peers. They will explore movement dynamics, understand musicality, and embrace their unique aesthetic as a dancer. Street Jazz offers an empowering and transformative experience for students ages 13+ who are enrolled in both Hip Hop and Jazz; must be enrolled in Level 6+ Hip Hop or Level 5+ Jazz.

The focus of this new class will be on developing the strength, flexibility, and building blocks necessary for acro skills. Our goal is to establish a foundation for students to build acro skills over time. We will work on stretching, stability, core/upper body strength, and building an understanding of anatomy and momentum.

Students will work on increasing extension, flexibility, turns, precision and various leaps and technical elements. The class will be structured with a broad range of dance conditioning and will utilize centre and across the floor combinations to increase spatial awareness. This class allows the developing dancer to focus on technical development outside of their regular weekly classes. Must be entering 4th grade + and enrolled in Jazz or Ballet. This is a non-performing class.

Street Jazz
Street Jazz combines elements of hip hop and commercial jazz into a dynamic style that emphasizes choreography, improvisation, and performance to create a powerful and confident dancer. Dancers will unleash their creativity through improvisation, and learn to quickly pick up choreography in various combinations throughout the year. Students will gain stage presence and boost their confidence through in-class performances while being uplifted by their peers. They will explore movement dynamics, understand musicality, and embrace their unique aesthetic as a dancer. Street Jazz offers an empowering and transformative experience for students ages 13+ who are enrolled in both Hip Hop and Jazz; must be enrolled in Level 6+ Hip Hop or Level 5+ Jazz.
