This intermediate ballet technique class is designed for dedicated dancers ages 10–11 who are ready to further develop their strength, artistry, and technical foundation. Classes will focus on proper body alignment, posture, turnout, flexibility, coordination, musicality, and increasingly complex barre and centre work.

Dancers will build upon their existing training while developing the discipline, confidence, and consistency required for higher-level dance education and future performance opportunities.

Level 3/4 dancers should be taking a minimum of three classes per week and have 4–5 years of previous dance experience. Ballet is the foundation for many dance genres and is highly recommended, and often required, for dancers participating in jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and company programs.

This is a non-performing technique class and does not participate in the Year End Recital.

This Jazz Technique class is designed for the dancer who is a little more serious about their dance training and is looking to further develop their technical skills.

Dancers enrolling in this class should be taking a minimum of 5 hours of dance per week and must also be enrolled in a Ballet Technique class or the R.A.D. Ballet Program, as a strong ballet foundation is essential for proper jazz development.

This class will focus on strengthening turns, leaps, jumps, flexibility, musicality, coordination, and overall performance quality. Dancers will work on across-the-floor progressions and technical exercises that support all styles of dance.

This is a non-performance technique class designed to complement and enhance a dancer’s overall training. Regular attendance and a strong commitment to dance education are expected.

Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Ballet – Grade 2

Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) ballet classes follow a structured, internationally recognized syllabus that develops strong, clean technique, musicality, and performance quality. Dancers progress through graded levels with the opportunity to participate in formal examinations, building confidence and a solid foundation in classical ballet.

This class has been working on the Grade 2 syllabus during the previous season and will be preparing to complete the Grade 2 examination in the fall. Following the exam, the class will progress into the Grade 3 syllabus in December.

Class Requirement

Dancers must be enrolled in BOTH RAD Grade 2 classes each week to ensure consistent syllabus retention and proper preparation for examination work. Consistent attendance in both classes is essential for successful exam readiness and continued progression through the RAD syllabus.

Dancers who are interested in performance opportunities are encouraged to enroll in an additional performance class, which may include participation in the Christmas Show and/or Year-End Recital.

Classes focus on:

Proper alignment and body awareness
Floor work and seamless transitions
Balance, control, and core strength

Contemporary Technique encourages dancers to connect movement with emotion and storytelling while building the technical foundation required for contemporary choreography and performance.

Prerequisites: Dancers must be 12 years of age by the 2026–2027 dance season and enrolled in a minimum of four ballet classes per week. This prerequisite ensures students have the strength, technical foundation, and body awareness necessary to safely and successfully participate in contemporary training.

This class is recommended for dancers who wish to improve their versatility, artistry, and overall dance education. Contemporary Technique supports success in competitive dance programs and complements training in ballet, jazz, lyrical, and modern dance.

Examination Requirement:
To be eligible to participate in the RAD examination, dancers must be enrolled in both Grade 1/2 RAD Ballet classes offered each week. Consistent attendance in both classes is essential for successful examination preparation and syllabus progression.

Prerequisites:

Strong knowledge of the Grade 1 syllabus
Commitment to attending both weekly RAD classes
Regular ballet training and a willingness to practice and retain syllabus work between classes

This class is intended for dedicated ballet students who are ready to work toward an internationally recognized RAD examination while continuing their technical and artistic development.

Dancers enrolled in this class will work through the Grade 1 syllabus over approximately 1.5 years, allowing time to develop the technical skills, musicality, artistry, and confidence required for successful examination preparation. Following the Grade 1 examination, dancers will progress into the Grade 2 syllabus.

To be eligible to participate in the RAD examination, dancers must be enrolled in both Grade 1 RAD Ballet classes offered each week. Consistent attendance in both classes is essential for successful examination preparation, retention of syllabus work, and technical development.

Acro is an excellent complement to Jazz and Lyrical training. Jazz is an energetic and exciting dance style that helps young dancers develop coordination, flexibility, musicality, and confidence. Dancers will learn basic jazz technique through fun exercises, across-the-floor progressions, jumps, turns, and age-appropriate choreography.

This class focuses on building strong dance fundamentals while encouraging creativity, expression, and a love of movement in a positive and supportive environment.

This class will participate in our Year End Recital. A media fee and costume fee are required.

Dancers must be 5 years of age by December 31, 2026 to enroll. This is a beginner-level class designed for dancers who are new to jazz or have limited previous experience.

Ballet Technique Age 8-10
Ballet Technique Level 2/3

This class builds on foundational ballet technique with a greater focus on alignment, strength, musicality, and artistic development. Dancers will continue to expand their ballet vocabulary, coordination, flexibility, and grace through structured barre and centre work in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Class Requirements:

Dancers must be age 8 or older by the end of the 2026 season.
A minimum of 2–3 years of previous ballet training is required.
Dancers must be enrolled in at least 2–3 ballet classes per week to participate in this class.
Placement approval may be required.

Please note that this is not a beginner ballet class. Dancers should have a solid understanding of foundational ballet terminology and technique before enrolling.

Jazz Tech Age 7-8
Jazz Technique (Ages 7–8)

Jazz Technique is a fun, energetic class that introduces young dancers to the fundamental skills of jazz while building confidence, coordination, and a love of movement. Dancers develop strong technical foundations through age-appropriate exercises, games, and combinations in a positive and encouraging environment.

Classes focus on:

Basic jazz technique and terminology
Proper body alignment and posture
Flexibility, strength, and coordination
Turns, jumps, kicks, and travelling steps
Rhythm, musicality, and timing
Balance and body control
Performance quality and confidence

This class is recommended for dancers ages 7–8 and is an excellent complement to Jazz Performance, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, and other performance-based classes. Regular attendance helps dancers develop strong technical habits that will support their growth in all styles of dance.

Stage Dancing is an exciting Broadway-inspired class that combines dance, acting, and performance skills. Dancers will explore storytelling through movement while learning age-appropriate choreography inspired by musicals and theatrical productions.

This class encourages dancers to develop confidence, stage presence, character development, and expression. Dancers may incorporate lip-syncing, facial expressions, and simple acting exercises to help bring their performances to life and create engaging characters on stage.

Classes may include elements of jazz, musical theatre, and creative movement while building coordination, musicality, and performance quality in a fun and supportive environment.

This class will participate in our Year End Recital. A media fee and costume fee are required.

Dancers should enroll in the level that best matches their age and previous experience. A Ballet & jazz Technique class is highly recommended to support overall dance development

No previous jazz experience is required, making this the perfect class for teens looking to explore a new style of dance or strengthen their overall technique.
