Pom 3 (Age 9 - Instructor Disc.)
*Please see Eagle Dance Center Handbook located in your Parent Portal under “files” for all studio Policies and Procedures prior to enrollment!*
Pom is a style of dance, commonly performed by high school and college students at halftime during basketball season and other school athletic events. Pom dance is sometimes also known as a school or college dance squad or dance team.
Pom can sometimes be confused with cheerleading. The difference between the two is that Pom focuses more directly on technique, and cheerleading on stunting and tumbling. Pom is not known for its tricks and stunts, rather for its style of dance, which is focused on the choreography, patterns, technique and use of pom poms.
This class will participate in our Annual Spring Recital in May 2026 unless student decides to opt-out.

Ballet is a formalized type of performance dance, which originated in the Italian Renaissance courts of the 15th century, and which was further developed in France, England, and Russia as a concert dance form. It is a highly technical form of dance with its own vocabulary. Technique is based on body alignment, proper placement, and posture. Barre and center floor are combined with choreography to teach musicality, rhythm, coordination, and flexibility. Ballet provides a strong foundation for all the forms of dance, as it is the basis for all forms of dance.
Ballet is encouraged for all dancers as well as athletes wishing to gain better body control, alignment, and core strength.
Ballet is required for all Competitive Team members.
This class will participate in our Annual Spring Recital in May 2026 unless student decides to opt-out.
