Our Next Level Summer Dance Intensive is designed for dedicated dancers ages 13–18 with prior dance experience who are ready to challenge themselves and grow. Each day includes three 1 hour and 15 minute classes, taught by a dynamic mix of our HSD faculty and some of the industry’s most sought-after visiting summer professionals, including Broadway and Las Vegas choreographers, a Radio City Rockette, and professional company dancers. This immersive training experience is ideal for serious dancers and members of competitive dance teams who are looking to elevate their technique, artistry, and performance skills.
The intensive concludes with a parent showcase, with performance eligibility reserved for dancers who participate in both weeks only. Placement for this intensive is based on ability rather than age and is determined by the director and staff. Week 1 runs July 20–24 and Week 2 runs July 27–31. Any dancer interested in joining the HSD Dance Company for the upcoming season is required to attend at least one week of the intensive.

Get To The Pointe Club
Our Get To The Pointe Club is an exclusive program designed for students who have been recommended by their ballet and pre-pointe instructors. This one-week intensive is the perfect introduction to the exciting next chapter in a dancer’s journey — pointe work!
The week includes daily training focused on strengthening both on and off pointe, preparing dancers for the demands of their first season en pointe. Each dancer will receive a Pointe Survival Kit, filled with essentials every new pointe student needs.
We will also cover the anatomy of the pointe shoe, proper sewing of ribbons and elastic, and how to tie pointe shoes correctly — giving dancers the knowledge and confidence they need before stepping into class this fall.

Running August 24–28 from 5:00–7:30 PM, this focused workshop will help dancers build the skills, confidence, and versatility needed to stand out. Dancers will work on precision technique, performance quality, strength and flexibility, turns, jumps, and style, while learning Pom and hip hop choreography commonly seen at the high school and collegiate dance team level. This workshop is ideal for dancers looking to refine their skills, sharpen their execution, and feel prepared and confident heading into tryout season.

The HSD Petite Dance Company is a wonderful opportunity for dancers ages 7–8 to build strong technique while gaining performance experience at shows, parades, charity events, and dance competitions throughout the state.
First-year Petite Company Auditions will be held on June 6 from 9:30–11:00 AM, with registration beginning at 9:00 AM. The audition will cover ballet, tap and hip hop. This audition is mandatory for all dancers and will determine class placement for the upcoming season. First-year Petite Company dancers must take two ballet classes and two additional genres (excluding acro), along with a required weekly company class for the upcoming dance season.
