With a balance of structured learning and playful exploration, this class builds coordination, confidence, and a lifelong love of dance! Students are to have pink leather ballet shoes and black patent leather tap shoes. Students are to wear clothes they can move in and the girls enjoy dressing the ballerina role with a leotard and tights; however, it is not required. Please have bring water bottles in to classroom to avoid having to leave it. Parents will be able to watch through a viewing window.

Contemporary II
Designed for dancers with prior experience and must be invited to join. This class builds on foundational contemporary techniques with increased focus on control, expression, and versatility. Students will explore more complex floor work, traveling phrases, improvisation, and partnering, while deepening their understanding of musicality, dynamics, and emotional storytelling. Emphasis is placed on developing individual artistry, strength, and fluidity in movement. Dancers will be challenged to take risks, explore creative choices, and grow both technically and expressively.

This class is designed for experienced dancers ready to push their technical and artistic boundaries. Students will engage in advanced contemporary techniques, including intricate floor work, dynamic transitions, off-center movement, inversions, and complex phrase work. The class emphasizes improvisation, choreography development, and emotional depth, encouraging dancers to explore their unique voice and perform with authenticity. Focus is placed on performance quality, risk-taking, precision, and versatility across a range of contemporary styles. Dancers will be challenged both physically and creatively in a supportive, high-level environment. Students need to have completed Contemporary II.

Kinder/Beg Acro
Kinder acro
A Beginner Acro class that meets students where they are at developmentally. The hour long class is jammed packed with fun, structure and Acrobatics! Ages 3-6 (if 2-2.5yrs of age, contact the office to discuss options. Please email Kerri@thedancestopstudio.com)
Beg Acro
Students are 6 years of age or older. This is a beginning step into your child's Acro following the ADTA syllabus. Students will learn all the basic skills that will help them transition to the Acro 1 program. The instructor will focus on proper techniques to create a safe, yet fun environment. Students will also practice Acro positions, rolling, cartwheels and bridges. Students should wear hair pulled back, wear fitted athletic clothing and they must be barefoot for class.

Students will learn a wide variety of techniques and skills by following the ADTA Advance syllabus for Acro III/IV. These skills will include advanced walkovers, side aerials, front aerials, back tucks, back handsprings, tumbling lines, aerial to back layout, partnering and across the floor passes. Prerequisite for this class is completion of Acro II or evaluation by instructors by scheduling a private lesson. Private lessons are $45 per half hour.

Advanced level of acrobatics. Teachers recommendation needed/invitation only

A prerequisite for this class is Beginner Acro or by teacher invitation.

Students will learn a wide variety of techniques and skills by following the ADTA Intermediate syllabus for Acro II. These skills range from intermediate drills, walkovers, handstands, back handsprings, tinsicas, needles, tik toks, the side aerial family, tumbling, partnering and across the floor passes. A prerequisite for this class is completion of Acro I or by teacher invitation. New students can be evaluated by instructors for placement!
