Salish Sea Ballet offers a wide range of levels for our classes. Please choose the class that your dancer has been recommended for. If you are new to the studio, please reach out about placement, and we will assist you in placing your dancer in the correct class.

Intermediate/Advanced ballet for dancers with significant ballet experience.

Dancers must be promoted from Level 2 or audition if they are new to the studio. Adult drop-ins are allowed if space permits.
Level 3 students continue to master skills while acquiring new ones in preparation for Level 4. Level 4 dancers continue to refine their skills while adding to their repertoire new advanced steps. We also begin to work on each dancer’s artistry while ensuring that they understand ballet terminology and the movement of their bodies in space.

Pre-Pointe/ Pointe with PBT
Join us for strength and conditioning for dancers in preparation for pointe work, and beginning/intermediate pointe work. This class includes Progressing Ballet Technique exercises to improve muscle memory, core strength, and alignment. Dancers must be in Level 3 or higher to enroll. Dancers aged 18 and younger must enroll in Ballet Technique 3/4 class to add this class to their schedule. Instructor permission is required.

Dance Camp Week 1, JULY 14-16 (NUTCRACKER)
Week 1: NUTCRACKER (July 14th-16th)

"The Nutcracker," Dance Camp offers young dancers a delightful opportunity to immerse themselves in the enchanting world of this classic ballet. Through a series of engaging classes and activities (story reading, arts and crafts, choreography learning), dancers will explore the magical story of Clara and her adventures to the Land of Sweets. The camp will focus on nurturing the basics of ballet technique, rhythm, and creative expression, all set to the iconic Tchaikovsky score. Participants will learn simplified choreography inspired by the beloved characters such as the Sugar Plum Fairy, Snowflakes, Flowers, Clara, The Prince, mice and The Rat King. This camp is designed to build confidence, coordination, and musicality while fostering teamwork and a love for dance in a positive and supportive environment. On the last day of camp, dancers will get to demonstrate to their guardians the skills they have learned through a simple choreographed routine.

Minimum enrollment for Dance Camp is 5 dancers, and Maximum enrollment is 10 dancers. Dancers must wear proper dance attire: tights, a leotard, full sole leather ballet slippers, and have their hair pulled up off their face. Ponytails or buns are great choices! Dancers must bring a full water bottle and a healthy snack to class each day.

Cost: $120.00 per dancer, per week.

Week 2: SLEEPING BEAUTY (July 21st-23rd)

“Sleeping Beauty” Dance Camp invites young dancers to step into a magical fairytale world filled with grace, music, and imagination. Inspired by the beloved classical ballet, this camp introduces dancers to the enchanting story of Princess Aurora, the good fairies, and the evil fairy Carabosse. Through age-appropriate ballet classes, dancers will explore basic ballet technique, musicality, and expressive movement. Camp activities will include story time, themed arts and crafts, and learning simplified choreography inspired by iconic characters such as Princess Aurora and the fairies set to Tchaikovsky’s beautiful Sleeping Beauty score. This camp is designed to build confidence, coordination, and musicality while fostering teamwork and a love for dance in a positive and supportive environment. On the final day of camp, dancers will share a short simple, choreographed routine with their guardians, celebrating all they have learned during the week.

“Firebird” Dance Camp offers young dancers an exciting and imaginative introduction to this vibrant classical ballet. Inspired by the mystical story of the Firebird, this camp invites dancers to explore movement, music, and storytelling through bold, expressive dance inspired by fantasy and folklore. Through engaging, age-appropriate ballet classes, dancers will develop foundational ballet technique, musicality, and expressive skills set to Stravinsky’s dynamic Firebird score. Camp activities may include story time, arts and crafts, and learning simplified choreography inspired by the Firebird’s powerful movements and magical character. This camp is designed to build confidence, coordination, and musicality while fostering teamwork and a love for dance in a positive and supportive environment. On the final day of camp, dancers will share a simple choreographed routine with their guardians, celebrating the skills, imagination, and joy they developed throughout the week.

“Mary Poppins” Dance Camp offers young dancers a whimsical and imaginative experience inspired by the magical world of this beloved story. This camp invites dancers to explore movement, creativity, and storytelling as they dance through the adventures of Mary Poppins. Through engaging, age-appropriate ballet classes, dancers will develop foundational ballet technique, rhythm, and expressive skills. Camp activities may include story time, arts and crafts, and learning simplified choreography inspired by the characters and lively music of Mary Poppins by Rodgers and Hammerstein. This camp is designed to build confidence, coordination, and musicality while fostering teamwork and a love for dance in a positive and supportive environment. Each day will conclude with choreography or free dancing to the camp’s theme music. On the final day of camp, dancers will share a simple choreographed routine with their guardians, celebrating the skills and creativity they developed throughout the week.
