Step up your Acro Game!!

Beginning with a strength and flexibility warm-up, each class incorporates cartwheel, handstand, back bend and walkover variations, and progresses through arial and handspring skills and drills. This is a multi-level class; each student will receive one-on-one instruction, and work on skills specific to their individual proficiency. Basic acrobatics experience (through a group class or private lesson) is highly recommended.

AcroDance is an art form that incorporates the fluid movements of dance with the exciting tricks from acrobatics. Students develop the specific strength, flexibility and technique to learn how to use acrobatic tricks in dance choreography. This is where you will see your acrobatics skills come alive! Students must be currently enrolled in the Acro 3 class held immediately prior to AcroDance. This serves as the warm-up as well as the technique class for AcroDance. Students must also be able to perform a front and back walkover in order to participate in this class.

Summer Dance Intensive - July 21-23
Our weekly dance intensives will ensure your dancer continues his/her progress throughout the summer. Students will participate in classical technique classes such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop and acrobatics and will have the opportunity to choose from specialty classes like stretching and splits, dance conditioning, handsprings and arials, leaps, jumps and turns, and choreography. Students will be organized according to age, level and personal interests.

Class Attire: solid color leotard and footless or convertible tights. Hear securely pulled back in a bun.

Please bring ballet and jazz shoes. Dancers will not have time to change clothes between classes, but may wear warm-ups which can be removed or pull on a ballet skirt or jazz bottoms over tights.

Each week offers a sampling of various forms of dance, tumbling, and strength, flexibility and coordination training, all centered around a fun theme to boost your child's imagination and creativity.

WHAT TO BRING:
All campers should bring water, snacks for our mid-morning and afternoon breaks, and lunch.
Attire: athletic top and leggings or leotard/footless tights for girls, athletic pants or shorts and t-shirts for boys. Long hair should be pulled back into a bun or braids.
