Ballet Ages 8 to 10 Level 2  
                        
Ballet (ages 7 and up)is the foundation of all dance styles. When beginning a ballet program more advanced stretching and strengthening exercises are given, barre work is introduced with a greater emphasis on vocabulary and French terminology. Musicality continues to be emphasized along with balance and coordination through the strengthening of the body core. Center floor work is introduced with continued focus on the positions of the arms, legs and feet using classical ballet vocabulary. As the dancer progresses more advanced stretching and strengthening exercises are given, barre work is continued with a greater emphasis on vocabulary and French terminology. TRIPLE THREAT (ages 5 and 6) Combines tap, ballet and jazz genres of dance. This class will develop your child’s coordination as well as an understanding of dance concepts and terminology.
