Sr/Elite/Groove Jazz Technique (need evaluation to register)
This is an advanced jazz technique class focusing specifically on leaps, jumps, and turns. Extra focus will be placed on strengthening core and flexibility as well as executing advanced placement positions in order to increase turn rotations and extensions in leaps. The class curriculum also centers on skills such as showmanship, jazz technique, kicks, and splits; which are particularly important for competition dance teams, high school dance and drill teams, and any other competitive team. This class does not participate in any recitals.

Tap I/II
This class is designed for those with none to little experience of tap dance. Tap classes focus on rhythm, musicality and timing. All classes begin with an energetic warm-up, across the floor exercises and combinations. Our more beginner students explore the fundamental steps of tap
dance, learn tap terminology and develop the ability to maintain correct body placement, as well as the ear, or ability to understand music. A small portion of the course will be dedicated to learning about and honoring historical tap figures to gain a holistic understanding of the art form.

Ballet III & IV (need eval to register)
A class for students who are more comfortable with the elementary positions of classical ballet and can move easily through the barre and center floor work. Our ballet technique classes are the foundation for training in all dance genres and focus on developing a solid ballet technique with emphasis on understanding correct body placement, proper use of turn out, coordination of the upper body (epaulement), and use of arms (port de bras). Clear explanations of exercises and theory help students increases their use of the ballet vocabulary in a simple, practical way that leads to increased technical understanding, healthy physical development, and lifelong enjoyment.

Tap IV & V
This intermediate tap class is designed for those who have mastered the skills in our Tap I, II, & III classes. Our Tap IV class will continue to expand the focus on rhythm, musicality and timing. All classes begin with an energetic warm-up, across the floor exercises and combinations. Our intermediate tap students review the fundamental steps of tap while incorporating intermediate to advanced skills and combinations.

Ballet V & VI (EVAL REQ'D)
This class is for those who have done pointe for 2+ years or have the strength required to advance. MUST HAVE EVALUATION TO REGISTER. The highest level of ballet currently offered at our studio. This is a more involved class for students with secure technique and the capacity to keep up in a fast-paced environment. Dancers learn advanced ballet combinations and skills, as well as classical variations and ballet history. *Must have evaluation in order to enroll in this class.

Tap III
This beginning/intermediate tap class is designed for those who have already taken our Tap I and/or Tap II classes. Our Tap III class increases the focus on rhythm, musicality and timing. Our beginner/intermediate students explore the fundamental steps of tap while incorporating more advanced skills and combinations.

Contemporary
Contemporary combines ballet and modern techniques with musical and emotional expression with a strong focus on modern techniques (contractions and release, off-center balances and suspension) as well as musicality and self-expression. Contemporary dance appeals to the creative, artistic soul in everyone because of its expressiveness and freedom of individuality. This intermediate level class will work on and build the students ability to pick up stylized choreography and movements. Students will focus on movements from the inside out, encouraging use of breath, energy, and connection in a quicker paced class environment.

ACRO/TUMBLE: Intro to Acro/Tumbling (6+ yrs)
Our specially designed acro/tumbling curriculum is used to provide a safe and progressive approach to learning, that gives your child many opportunities to succeed and be praised. Intro to Acro/Tumbling is for students 6 years and older. In this class, core skills will be deconstructed into fundamental steps, which allows for successful and correct progressive learning. Acro/Tumbling is an important foundation for our Competition Dance Teams, as well as school cheerleading, drill teams & dance companies.

In this class, tumblers will continue mastering their current skills, while working towards advanced acro/tumbling passes that include, but are not limited to, multiple back handsprings, layouts, step-outs, back tucks etc. Acro/Tumbling is an important foundation for our Competition Dance Teams, as well as school cheerleading, drill teams & dance companies.

Our beginning level ballet classes are for those dancers who are either new to ballet or moving up from "combo" level classes. Dancers begin to move through the rudimentary structure of a standard ballet class, including barre and center practice, while greatly expanding their knowledge of movement and terminology. The goal for this class is to solidify basic ballet terminology and movement, as well as developing a greater awareness of technical ballet concepts.

"Shorties" Hip Hop (5-6 yrs)
Hip Hop incorporates a variety of old and new urban, street and pop dance styles. The dancing represents body movements that go with the beat and rhythm of hip hop music. Hip hop dancing is very dynamic and helps the dancers improve flexibility develop body balance, and coordination. This class serves as an introduction to hip hop dance for the younger student. This class will encourage students to dance outside of the box and bring their own personality to each movement.

ACRO/TUMBLE: Tots/Tykes (3-6 yrs)
Our specially designed Acro/Tumble Tykes curriculum is used to provide a safe and progressive approach to learning, that gives your child many opportunities to succeed and be praised. Acro/Tumble Tykes is an age based class providing tremendous developmental benefits for children ages 5-6 yrs. In this class your tumbler will learn hand-eye coordination (important for writing), eye-tracking (needed for reading readiness), locomotor movement skills (challenging the child’s growing mind and body) and social skills (learning to work with others, sharing and taking turns). All of which make a significant impact on learning and maturity.

Funky Bunch Hip Hop 7-10 yrs

"Beats" Inter+ Hip Hop 10+ ages
For dancers who are intermediate-adv. Hip-Hop dance is a social style of dance that incorporates jazz and funk. This athletic dance style uses isolations of the body and includes popping, locking, and breaking. Hip-hop is ever changing and evolving with cutting edge choreography seen in music videos and television commercials. This high-energy style is for every age.
