This fun and energetic class is designed to introduce young children to the basics of gymnastics in a safe and supportive environment. Dancers will build strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination through age-appropriate tumbling skills and creative movement. While this class DOES NOT participate in the end-of-season recital, it offers an excellent foundation for body awareness, confidence, and physical development.

Attire: Attire:
Dancers should wear a shorts-style unitard (no skirts or tutus) and participate barefoot for safety and ease of movement. Hair should be pulled back securely away from the face.

Ballet (Beginner)
Dancers will learn basic ballet positions, terminology, and technique while developing posture, flexibility, and musicality in a structured and supportive environment. Emphasis is placed on proper body alignment, coordination, and grace, all while encouraging a love for dance.

Attire: Black leotard, skin tone tights, and skin tone split sole ballet shoes. Hair should be pulled back and away from the face.

Ballet (Intermediate/Advanced)
Intermediate/Advanced Ballet
This class is designed for experienced dancers who have a strong foundation in ballet technique and are ready to refine their skills at a more advanced level. Dancers will focus on advanced barre work, center combinations, complex turns, adagio, and allegro sequences to build strength, control, and artistry. Emphasis is placed on performance quality, musicality, and technical precision.

Placement Required: Dancers must be assessed by a ZFL instructor for proper class placement prior to enrollment.

Attire: Black leotard, skin tone tights, and skin tone split sole ballet shoes. Hair should be pulled back and away from the face.

Dancers will explore the basics of ballet, tap, and gymnastics while building coordination, rhythm, balance, and flexibility. The class is structured to include a mix of technique and creative movement, keeping little ones engaged while introducing them to foundational elements of each genre.

Dancers in this class will perform two routines in the end-of-year recital.

Attire:
Leotard (no detachable skirts), footed tights, tap shoes, and ballet shoes. Dancers may wear any color tap and ballet shoes for class.

Recital Shoe Requirement: White tap shoes and white ballet shoes.

The class emphasizes control, coordination, and performance quality in both genres. It’s a perfect blend of athleticism and artistry!

This class will perform in our annual recital.

Attire: Form-fitting, non-restrictive dancewear.

Attire: Non-restrictive dancewear that allows for full range of motion.

This class does not perform in the recital.

The class is structured to keep dancers active and focused, while also allowing room for creativity and confidence-building through movement.

Hip Hop (7-12 Yrs. Old)
This high-energy class is packed with age-appropriate movement, rhythm, and freestyle elements inspired by today’s latest hip hop trends. Dancers will learn fun combinations while developing coordination, musicality, confidence, and personal style. Perfect for dancers who love to move and groove in a dynamic, upbeat environment!

This class will perform in our end-of-year recital.

Attire: Non-restrictive, comfortable clothing that allows for full movement.
Shoes: Tennis shoes must be worn for class. No crocs, boots, or open-toed shoes allowed.

Hip Hop (Advanced)
This high-level class is designed for experienced dancers ready to push their skills, precision, and performance to the next level. Dancers will train in advanced choreography, musicality, textures, and performance dynamics while exploring various hip hop styles including street, commercial, and freestyle. Focus is placed on execution, stamina, and developing a strong personal style.

This class will perform in our end-of-year recital.

Attire: Non-restrictive, comfortable clothing that allows for full movement.
Shoes: Tennis shoes are required. No crocs, boots, or open-toed shoes allowed.

Placement Required: Dancers must be assessed by an instructor for class placement prior to enrollment.

The class is structured to keep dancers active and focused, while also allowing room for creativity and confidence-building through movement.

Attire: Form-fitting dancewear that allows for full range of motion.
Shoes: Black tap shoes and black jazz shoes.

Gymnastics (Beginner/Intermediate)
This class is perfect for dancers who are building a foundation or continuing to strengthen their acrobatic skills. Students will work on flexibility, strength, balance, and control through drills, progressions, and skills such as rolls, handstands, cartwheels, bridges, and more. As dancers progress, they will be challenged with more complex tumbling and transitions in a supportive and structured environment.

Attire: Form-fitting, non-restrictive clothing (no skirts or loose items).
Shoes: Barefoot.

This class performs at the end of the year recital.

This high-energy class combines strength, flexibility and style. Dancers will work on jazz technique—including kicks, turns, and leaps—while also developing style for both styles of Jazz & Contemporary. The class emphasizes control, coordination, and performance quality in both genres. It’s a perfect blend of athleticism and artistry!
