The Prodigy Musical Theater Troupe presenting Matilda Jr. Spring Semester
This performance company program runs January -May 2025.
The Troupe is open to student performers ages 7-18 who have a passion for acting, singing, and dancing. All Troupe members must register to participate. The program length is late August- mid May, but is broken into two semesters. There will be an audition in the Fall and also in the Spring to cast roles for the featured production that will take place each semester. The purpose for the Troupe is to provide additional learning and performing opportunities for students wanting to develop their talents, further their experience, and share their enthusiasm for the performing arts with new friends. Offering the option of committing to Fall semester ONLY, Spring semester ONLY, or BOTH semesters gives the opportunity for performers with varied interests and calendar commitments to commit for the length of time that is right for them.
Each semester, Troupe members will participate in community performances, will attend musical theater workshops, and will perform a full length Disney or Broadway Jr production.

Welcome to fun and learning through ballet and tap dance and tumbling. Preschoolers enjoy the lively music and fun way of practicing proper technique and terminology taught in this class. Whether skipping across the floor side by side with friends or learning to take turns solo, your child's nurturing instructor will encourage him or her to dance and tumble their best. This class helps to develop coordination and rhythm skills. They will also work on locomotor skills, and beginning tumbling skills such as forward rolls, bridges, wall-assisted handstands, and cartwheels. Following directions and learning beginning level choreography will be a fulfilling experience for your confident and creative child.

Our program is designed to teach essential dance techniques and terminology, providing a solid foundation for dance appreciation and training. Dance Stars will offer a fun and energetic way for kids to burn off extra energy after school while enjoying creating and dancing together with friends.
Some club highlights include:
- **Fun Music and Moves:** Kids will love dancing to popular Pop and Hip Hop tracks.
- **Comprehensive Training:** Each class includes warm-ups, stretching, basic exercises, and learning new steps and combinations across the floor. As well as movement games, and chances to create choreography, "partner tricks", and a chance to freestyle.

This action-packed camp is designed for movers of all skill levels, from beginners learning the basics to advanced tumblers mastering aerials and back handsprings. On the first day, campers will be placed into groups based on their ability level to ensure they receive the best training experience.
Throughout the week, campers will build strength, flexibility, and confidence while working on exciting acro skills. Special pop-up workshops led by guest instructors will give certain campers the opportunity to build an amazing end- of -camp performance for parents.

Camp Description:
The Prodigy Dance Intensive camp is designed to catapult a dancer's training and overall knowledge base. This camp allows instructors to evaluate dancer technique and help fill in any gaps for a deeper understanding of proper placement and muscle control. The camp week will include multiple workshops in different genres that will delve into the history, icons that have pushed the envelope in artistry and skill, and will allow a dancer to try out each style. Professional guest instructors will inspire in their classes and short pieces of choreography in the the areas of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Musical Theater, and Acrobatics. Over the course of the week each dancer will train, stretch, build strength, develop performance skills and will finish the week with a parent performance, deeper appreciation for dance education, and a sense of accomplishment. The goal is to inspire and encourage dancer to reach for new heights in their abilities and goals. But also to have discovered new things about themselves and where their own greatest strengths lie. This camp is for students with prior experience that already love to dance and are excited to grow their skills and friendships with their peers that share the same passion.
All students will be evaluated to match them for a camp group. Younger dancers or those with less prior training maybe be placed in the Dance Immersion camp which will include the same styles and instructors but with the goal of exposure and appropriate class level.
Required Dress Code:
Girls: Black Leotard with pink or tan convertible or footless tights. Black Jazz shorts or ballet skirts are optional.
Pink split sole ballet shoes, tan slip on Jazz shoes. Tap shoes are required for tap class. Those without tap shoes will be assigned to an alternative workshop during that class time. Sneakers are recommended for Hip Hop.
Hair must be secured for each camp day.
Boys:
White T-shirt ir tank top with black athletic shorts or black dance pants.

** Camp hours are 9:00AM-3:00PM/ No refunds are available for Camp Registration/Tuition. No credits are given for partial attendance or days not attended by student.
Camp Description:
In this fun and fitness-infused camp, students will enjoy active learning and team building skills. Each class will include jazz and hip hop dance, tumbling on mats, and cheerleading. At Prodigy Performing Arts, we believe in inspiring new confidence and achievement in every student. You'll be impressed when your child wants to show off all the new routines, cheers, and super star skills they'll be learning. You won't want to miss the "pep rally" showcase for family and friends at the end of the session.
Campers will need to wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in, example, t-shirt and shorts or tank and leggings with tennis shoes.
Campers will need to bring their own water bottle, nut-free lunch and snack. Make sure that their name is clearly labeled on their belongings.
On Water Play Wednesday, they can bring a swimsuit with towel that they can change into for recess.
