The best of broadway in one class! This class will compliment your other dance classes or vocal training in a group class where we can explore all areas of musical theater performance! We will work on acting skills, theater terminology, auditioning, group singing, dancing, stage tricks and acrobatics, emoting, projecting, reactions, character development AND will have special days to have fun with stage makeup, costume design and other backstage skills! 2 teachers will be on staff to work with both age groups at their own level for many exercises before coming together for group work.

Fusion of Styles: Commercial Funk blends elements of hip-hop, jazz, dance team, street styles, contemporary, even pom or simple tumbling depending on the choreography and project.

This class gives the foundations to our littlest dancers; building on basic ballet techniques. We also work on musicality, balance, and following instructions. We use make believe and story telling to make the music and motions come alive to these little ones! Dancers MUST be potty trained.

Pre-pointe/Pointe
This is a combined level class focused on the advancement of ballet students to the rewarding experience of dancing on pointe shoes.
Pre-pointe is a preparatory class for students with goals of being on pointe shoes and general strengthening their feet, ankles, legs, rotators and hips for proper and safe ballet technique. This is open to all students over age 7.
Advancement to pointe is solely by studio directors discretion. An invitation to receive your pointe shoes will be issued by your teacher either prior to, or anytime during the season. MINIMUM requirements are 3 consecutive years of ballet training, age 12 or significant growth spurt signifying a strengthening of the foot and ankle bones. As well as achieving appropriate arch and ankle flexibility, strength and range of motion, Hip turnout, whole body placement, as well as the maturity and mental presence to stay focused during class. Not moving with intention and focus can cause injury when on pointe.
Ask your teacher what goals you should have and exercises you can do daily to achieve the progression to pointe.
