Gems Dance Company Duet 2026-2027

Since successful duets require dancers to complement one another in style, technique, work ethic, commitment level, performance quality, and overall compatibility, duet partnerships will be determined and approved by the Director. Requests for specific partners may be considered, but partner requests are not guaranteed.
Solos and duets are awarded to dancers who demonstrate the ability to handle the additional commitment and rehearsal time required. Dancers must have completed at least one season with Gems Dance Company.
* Dancers will be assigned a choreographer.
* Please do not email style or choreographer requests.
*Solo and duet choreographers are generally not present at competitions. While they may occasionally be able to watch performances via competition live streams or review videos after the event, attendance at competitions should not be expected.
*Please note that some choreographers, particularly guest choreographers, may only have approximately two hours of rehearsal time with the dancer(s). *Dancers are expected to take responsibility for rehearsing independently and maintaining their choreography throughout the season. Additional rehearsal opportunities may be available through private lessons with CDC staff or the assigned choreographer, when applicable (additional fees may apply if they have had 4 hours of rehearsal already).
