Beginner Tumbling: Kickovers Walkovers

This beginner tumbling class focuses on developing the strength, flexibility, coordination, and technique needed for kickovers, front walkovers, back walkovers, limbers, and other foundational tumbling skills.  

Athletes will work through age-appropriate drills and progressions designed to build confidence and proper technique while improving flexibility and body control.  Examples include: bear walks, crab walks, handstand drills, and other exercises that build strength and confidence while supporting weight through the hands, arms, and shoulders. They will also practice backbends, bridge work, wall walks (walking their hands down and back up the wall), flexibility training, and beginner skill progressions designed to help athletes become comfortable moving backwards while developing the strength, coordination, and body control needed for kickovers and walkovers.

Skill Requirement: Athletes must be able to independently push up into a bridge from the floor.

Whether your goal is a strong kickover or a confident walkover, this class provides the focused instruction and repetitions needed to make progress.

Tumbling: Learning Handsprings

This class is designed for athletes working toward their back handspring and other handspring-based tumbling skills. Athletes will focus on the strength, technique, body shapes, and progressions needed to safely develop a strong foundation for handsprings.

Classes include drills for handstands, bridges, jumps, rebounds, body tension, shoulder strength, and core strength, along with skill-specific progressions that help athletes build confidence and power while learning proper handspring technique.

Whether an athlete is just beginning handspring progressions or working toward performing a back handspring independently, this class provides focused instruction and plenty of repetitions to support safe and successful skill development.

Skill Requirement: Athletes should be comfortable with bridges and moving backwards and be able to perform a kickover and/or walkover independently.

Parents actively participate in class by assisting, encouraging, and helping their child navigate the various stations and activities. Classes are designed to promote independence while still providing the comfort and support of a trusted adult.

**One adult (18+) per child is permitted to attend and participate in class.**

Session Fee: $130 tuition plus a reduced $15 session admin fee (one-time payment due at registration).

Classes are designed to be fun and engaging while helping participants develop a strong foundation in cheerleading.

This program offers a team atmosphere and routine-based learning in a lower-commitment recreational setting, making it a great fit for elementary-aged athletes who enjoy working together and performing without the travel, competitions, and time commitment of an all-star cheer team.

Acro Dance combines dance and floor gymnastics. Athletes learn flexibility, balance, acrobatic skills, dance technique, choreography, and performance skills. Great for kids who enjoy both movement and creativity. This class is the foundation to our world championship dance team training program.
