This is a supervised aerial practice session with no instruction! Come and review/practice your existing skills with access to aerial silks. This is the perfect opportunity to practice, train to build strength in between technique classes, and just play. Prerequisites: Must be an established CB School of Dance aerial student (have taken an aerial class within the last 12 months) OR by permission of the Aerial Director. This class and a ballet technique class are necessary to lay the foundations for future pointe training (student must also register for a ballet technique class in conjunction with this class). Traditional pre-pointe and pointe classes with professionally trained ballet and pointe teachers. Pointe training is scaffolded from pre-pointe forward. Sometimes we offer a separate pre-pointe preparation class, and sometimes we combine pointe beginners with Pointe 1+. Readiness for pointe work is determined by SOD faculty based on each student's strength and physical development as well as by their age.
