Adult Lyrical: Open Level (Dates: 5/5, 5/12, 5/19, 6/2)
Stephanie Marziano
Lyrical dance combines elements of ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance to create a graceful, emotionally expressive style of dance. Lyrical often uses music with lyrics to inspire the dancer's movements, with the goal of interpreting the song's lyrics and mood through fluid movements and storytelling. Dancers use their bodies, facial expressions, and the music's lyrics to convey a narrative or express emotions. Lyrical may also focus on creating emotional connections, specialized leaps and turns, and long, pretty lines. Lyrical is often less strict and formulaic than other dance styles, making it accessible to dancers of all ages and levels. Class dates: 5/5, 5/12, 5/19, 6/2.
This class will NOT meet September 12 so that students can have the option to attend the 7:00pm dance performance by Colorado West Performing Arts Co at the Center.

Adult Ecstatic Dance (Dates: 5/1, 5/15, 6/5)
Hadley Gallen
This a donation-based offering (suggested donation: $5). Ecstatic Dance is a freeform movement journey, held in a safe and sacred container and facilitated by community members. It’s a place where we can be our unique selves, and also connected to a common source. Ecstatic Dance has 3 Simple Guidelines: 1. We Dance Without Shoes (or: We Dance Barefoot) - This allows us to connect more fully with the Ground (socks are OK). If you have a physical condition that you need dance shoes, then OK. 2. We Dance Without Words (or: We Dance with Body Language) - This makes it easier to be in a Meditative State. No Verbal Instruction from the Facilitators. No Talking from the Dancers. 3. We Dance as We Are - No Drugs/Alcohol, No Phones, No Camera/Video, No Scents, No Expectations, No Judgements, No Shoulds, No Oughts… Just Be Yourself; With Respect for Ourselves, the Space, and One Another.

Adult Ecstatic Dance (Dates: 6/19, 7/3, 7/17, 8/7)
