Dancers must be age 7 and up, and have one year previous dance experience.

Welcome to our beginner contemporary dance class! In this class, you will explore the expressive and fluid movements of contemporary dance, combining elements of various dance styles such as ballet, jazz, and modern dance.

Our class will begin with a gentle warm-up to loosen up your body and prepare you for movement. You will then learn basic contemporary dance techniques, focusing on fluidity, musicality, and emotional expression. We will work on developing your strength, flexibility, and coordination through a series of exercises and combinations.

Throughout the class, you will have the opportunity to improvise and create your own movements, allowing you to connect with your body and emotions in a unique way. Our goal is to encourage self-expression and creativity while learning the fundamentals of contemporary dance.

We also cover the basics of leaps, turns, extensions, and choreography. This is a great class if taking your dance to the next level is something you are wanting to do.

Welcome to Ballet Level 1, where we will embark on a graceful journey into the world of classical ballet! This class is designed for beginners with previous Ballet Fundamentals experience, focusing on building a strong foundation in technique, posture, and artistry.

We will start each class with a thorough ballet barre warm-up, where you will learn the fundamental positions, movements, and terminology of ballet. Through a series of exercises, you will work on developing your strength, flexibility, and alignment while honing your coordination and musicality.

As we move to the center floor, you will have the opportunity to practice ballet combinations that incorporate basic steps such as pliés, tendus, dégagés, and more. Emphasis will be placed on proper body alignment, turnout, and gracefulness in movement.

Throughout the class, you will be encouraged to express yourself through the beauty and precision of ballet technique, while also fostering a sense of artistry and storytelling through movement. Our goal is to instill a love for ballet and provide you with a solid foundation to continue your dance journey.

In this class, students will learn a variety of acrobatic skills, including backbends, cartwheels, flips, and more, under the guidance of experienced instructors. Through a series of progressive exercises and drills, children will develop the strength, coordination, and body awareness needed to perform these dynamic movements with confidence and precision.

Pre-Acro Dance is a strength-based class that also emphasizes the importance of flexibility, helping students improve their range of motion, balance, and control. By incorporating conditioning exercises, stretching routines, and skill-building drills, students will not only enhance their physical abilities but also develop a strong foundation for future acrobatic and dance training.

Our instructors will provide a supportive and encouraging atmosphere where students can challenge themselves, overcome obstacles, and celebrate their achievements. Welcome to Ballet Fundamentals, a class designed to introduce young dancers aged 6-8 years to the essential techniques and principles of classical ballet. This beginner-level class focuses on developing a strong foundation in ballet while emphasizing the importance of proper leg and footwork, which are fundamental to mastering this graceful art form.

In Ballet Fundamentals, students will delve deeper into the world of ballet, learning key movements, positions, and terminology that form the building blocks of classical ballet technique. Through a series of exercises and drills, children will work on refining their leg and foot placement, turnout, and alignment, helping them to develop the strength, control, and precision required for ballet.

Our experienced instructors will guide students through a variety of exercises that target the legs and feet, helping them to improve their flexibility, coordination, and balance. By focusing on these key areas, students will not only enhance their technical skills but also develop a deeper understanding of the artistry and discipline of ballet.

Specifically, students learn a technical ballet barre, the learn center ballet positions, petite allegro, turns, and they start working on increasing extensions. This class only begins introducing port de bra (movement of the arms) towards the end of the season so we can really focus on getting those legs strong for dancing.

In Acro Fundamentals, students will learn a variety of basic acrobatic movements, including rolls, balances, handstands, cartwheels, and more. Through a series of progressive exercises and drills, students will develop the strength, control, and body awareness needed to perform these skills with confidence and precision.

Our experienced instructors will guide students through proper technique and spotting techniques to ensure safety and effective skill development. Students will also work on improving their flexibility through stretching exercises and conditioning drills, helping them to enhance their range of motion and prevent injuries.

Throughout the class, students will have the opportunity to explore different acrobatic combinations and sequences that challenge their balance, agility, and creativity. By focusing on fundamental acrobatic skills, students will build a strong foundation that will prepare them for more advanced acrobatic training in the future.

To enroll in this class students must have Pre Acro experience, they must be able to do backend walks, cartwheels, headstands on the wall, and handstands on the wall. If you are enrolling in an acrobatics class, you must be enrolled in a ballet class.
