Fall Classes
Monthly payments are due the 1st of each month. Payments not received by the 5th will incurr a $10 late fee. Students will not participate in class until fee is paid. (Tuition is due Regardless if there are only 1, 2, or 3 weeks in the month for class)

All summer class tuition is a one-time fee and includes the registration fee and any required class accessories

No refunds or credits.
STUDENTS will be dropped from class if no payment and no communication are made 3 weeks after the due date. It is the responsibility of the parent to communicate with the studio prior to dropping off the student to class about making payments. Please make an appointment prior to class if arrangements need to be made. Waiting to speak to the director the day of class with no appointment may still result in the student not participating in class.

Please make sure your number and email address are updated. ICE STUDIOS will only use the contact info listed in the account. ICE STUDIOS is not responsible if a parent does not update email or number in a timely manner to access info needed.

Welcome to our brand-new facility at the APEX Hub (19310 E. 50th Terrace, Independence, MO 64055)! As we settle into our new space, we are implementing updated safety, arrival, and dismissal policies effective immediately.

Please review the critical guidelines below:

APP CHECK-IN & ARRIVAL
• All students must be checked in using this DanceStudio-Pro app (or via the Parent Portal at www.icestudiosdance.org) 5 to 10 minutes before class starts.
• Students may arrive 5-10 minutes early but must wait in the waiting area. Do not enter classrooms until permitted by a teacher.
• Ages 10 & Under: Parents must escort students to the 1st-level entrance door. Dancers will head upstairs to wait.
• Ages 11 & Older: May walk up independently with parent permission but must head straight to the studio. No lingering or roaming the building is permitted.
• Studio Spaces: Our space consists of Studio B (Suite L - first door on the right) and Studio A/Front Desk (Suite N - further down the hall).

DISMISSAL & CHECK-OUT
• Ages 10 & Under Pick-Up: Parents must arrive 5 minutes BEFORE class ends.
• Escort Process: Teachers will walk these students downstairs to ensure they safely get to their cars. If you are not there, your child will be brought back upstairs to wait.
• Older Students: Please coordinate directly with your dancer so they head straight to your vehicle.

ATTENDANCE & COMMUNICATION
• Punctuality: Arrive at least 5 minutes prior to class.
• Absences: Report all absences here in the Parent Portal.
• Attendance Policy: A no-show, no-call for 4 consecutive weeks will result in automatic removal from the class roster. Withdrawals must be submitted in writing.
• Updates: 95% of studio communication is sent via email. Please check your email, text messages, and account updates daily.

DRESS CODE WARNING POLICY
• Clothing Rules: Proper class-specific dancewear and correct footwear are required (No jeans!).
• Infractions: Dancers out of dress code will receive a warning. After the 3rd warning, students will not be allowed to participate in class until they are in proper attire.

RESTROOM & BUILDING SAFETY
• Preparation: Please have students use the restroom before class.
• Upstairs Restroom: During active sessions, the upstairs restroom (Studio A) is reserved for girls and ladies only. Staff will clear the restroom if a male student needs to use it.
• Lower Level Restroom: A public lower-level restroom is available for parents and gentlemen.
• Safety Rule: No roaming the building without an adult. ICE STUDIOS is not responsible for students who do not follow building safety rules.

FOOD, DRINKS & PERSONAL ITEMS
• Refreshments: NO food allowed. Water bottles only.
• Discard Policy: Anything left behind for over 2 weeks will be thrown away.
• Labels: PLEASE LABEL ALL BAGS, SHOES, AND WATER BOTTLES. ICE STUDIOS is not responsible for lost, unlabeled property.

CODE OF CONDUCT
• Classroom Space: Parents, visitors, and siblings are not permitted inside the classrooms during instruction.
• Electronics: Cell phones are not allowed during class.
• Phone Etiquette: Please take parental phone calls in the waiting area or outside.
• Studio Policy: Aggressive behavior or vulgar language will not be tolerated. ICE STUDIOS reserves the right to refuse service.

Premier Competition Team

Class Description:
The Premier Competition Team is designed for dancers who are looking for a competitive dance experience with a balanced level of commitment. This team follows the same commitment level previously offered through our Premier Team and is ideal for dancers who are ready to grow their technique, performance skills, and confidence while maintaining a comfortable training schedule.

Each weekly training session is approximately 3.5 hours and includes:

* Team technique class and choreography
* Competition routine rehearsal
* Full Company production rehearsal
* Tumbling Lab/Workshop for strength, conditioning, and skill development

Premier Team dancers perform at competitions, community events, and the annual ICE Studios recital.

Competition Team Placement:
All ICE Studios competition teams are audition or instructor invitation only. New and returning dancers must attend a competition team placement evaluation or complete the ICE Studios Summer Training Program to be considered for placement. Team placement is based on each dancer’s technical ability, performance quality, work ethic, maturity, and commitment—not age alone.

Competition Team Administrative Fee:
A $120 annual Competition Team Administrative Fee is required for all Premier Team members. This fee helps cover team administration, scheduling, competition registration processing, music licensing, team communication, and other administrative expenses throughout the season.

The administrative fee may be paid in installments but must be paid in full by January 2027.

Team members will attend three regional dance competitions and 1 recital

Please note:
Competition registration fees are not included in tuition and will be billed separately. Families are also responsible for the cost of competition costumes, dance shoes, tights, hair accessories, makeup, travel expenses, and any required competition or performance items. Your monthly tuition includes your weekly team training, rehearsals, Tumbling Lab, and full company rehearsals.

The Elite/Advanced Tumbling Lab is a required corequisite class for all Elite Competition Team members. This advanced training class is designed to increase power, strength, flexibility, conditioning, and advanced tumbling technique required for high-level competition performances.

Students will focus on advanced progressions and skill development, including aerials, front and back handsprings, back tucks, layouts, standing tumbling, partner tricks, specialty tricks, and advanced hip-hop acrobatic elements. Individual drills and conditioning will help dancers safely progress toward new skills while improving execution and consistency.

This class is an essential part of Elite Team training and supports the technical demands of competition choreography.

Required for: Elite Competition Team Members

The Full Company Hip-Hop Dance Team is a required corequisite class for all Premier and Elite Competition Team members. This class brings both teams together to rehearse the studio’s featured Production Line routine, allowing dancers to perform as one united company throughout the competition season.

Students will focus on choreography, formations, synchronization, musicality, stage presence, performance quality, transitions, and teamwork while preparing the Production Line routine for competition and special performances.

The Full Company Production Line will compete at three regional dance competitions during the season and may also perform at studio and community events.

Please Note:
Parents are responsible for all competition-related expenses, including competition entry fees, costumes, dance shoes, tights, hair accessories, makeup, and any required travel expenses.

The tuition for this class covers weekly rehearsals, choreography, routine cleaning, staging, and performance training throughout the season.

Each weekly training session is approximately 3 hours and includes:

* Advanced team technique class and choreography
* Competition routine rehearsal
* Full Company production rehearsal
* Tumbling Lab/Workshop for advanced skill development, strength, and conditioning

Elite Team dancers are expected to train consistently, attend all required rehearsals, and maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic throughout the season.

Competition Team Placement:
All ICE Studios Competition Teams are audition or instructor invitation only. New and returning dancers must attend a Competition Team Placement Evaluation or complete the ICE Studios Summer Training Program to be considered for placement. Team placement is based on each dancer’s technical ability, performance quality, work ethic, maturity, and commitment—not age alone.

Competition Schedule:
Elite Team members will attend three regional dance competitions during the season and will also participate in one team travel event. Attendance at all competitions, rehearsals, and required performances is expected unless otherwise approved by the studio.

The Premier Tumbling Lab is a required corequisite class for all Premier Competition Team members. This class focuses on developing the strength, flexibility, conditioning, and tumbling skills needed to perform safely and confidently in competition routines.

Students will work on progressive tumbling drills and technique appropriate for their individual level. Skills may include cartwheels, round-offs, walkovers, aerial progressions, back handspring drills, jumps, flexibility, partner work, and performance tricks commonly used in hip-hop choreography.

Consistent attendance is expected as tumbling skills learned in this class are incorporated into competition routines throughout the season.

Required for: Premier Competition Team Members

This expressive class blends the technical foundations of jazz with the artistry and emotion of contemporary dance. Dancers will develop strength, flexibility, balance, musicality, turns, leaps, floor work, and performance quality through technique exercises, across-the-floor progressions, improvisation, and choreography.

This combined-level class allows dancers to grow at their own pace while receiving instruction appropriate to their skill level. It is an excellent class for students looking to improve technique and performance while exploring creative movement.

Dancers will be challenged to elevate their existing skills while deepening their understanding of classical technique in every aspect of their training.

Team members represent ICE Studios School of Dance at local and regional dance competitions throughout the season and are expected to demonstrate commitment, responsibility, teamwork, and consistent attendance.

Eligibility Requirements

To enroll in this class, dancers must:

* Have at least two (2) years of ballet training OR two (2) years of jazz dance training.
* Receive placement approval from ICE Studios before registering.
* Parents must contact the studio for enrollment approval prior to signing up.
* Be enrolled in the Beginner Leaps & Turns technique class throughout the season.
* Be willing to commit to rehearsals, performances, and competition events throughout the season.

Premier Entry-Level Hip-Hop Competition Team
Classes Start Sept 10, 2026

The Premier Entry-Level Hip-Hop Competition Team is designed for dancers who are ready to experience competitive dance with a lighter level of commitment. This team is ideal for beginner to developing dancers with 1–2 years of dance training who want to build confidence, improve their technique, and prepare for future competitive opportunities.

Students will focus on hip-hop fundamentals, musicality, rhythm, coordination, performance quality, teamwork, and stage presence while learning one competition routine throughout the season. Coaches will emphasize proper technique, foundational skills, and confidence in a fun, encouraging, and structured environment.

This team will compete at one regional dance competition and perform in the annual ICE Studios Recital.

Please Note:
The Premier Entry-Level Hip-Hop Competition Team does not participate in the Full Company Production Dance.

Competition Team Placement:
Placement is by audition or instructor invitation only. New and returning dancers must attend a Competition Team Placement Evaluation or complete the ICE Studios Summer Training Program before registering.

Competition Team Administrative Fee:
A $50 annual Competition Team Administrative Fee is required and may be paid in installments. The fee must be paid in full by January 2027.

Additional Competition Expenses:
Parents are responsible for competition-related expenses, including competition registration fees, costumes, dance shoes, hair, makeup, and any required accessories.
