When auditioning for our competition team, expect a process that includes demonstrating skills, learning new choreography, and potentially being cut or invited to callbacks. Expect to be assessed on your technical skills, choreography memorization, and overall performance presentation.
⭐️Before Auditions: prepare a 45 sec solo that showcase what you do best
Solo should include some of the following elements:
• La Seconde Battement
• Second Leap
• Grand Jeté
• Right or Left Split
• Double Pirouette
• Fouette Turns
• Leg Hold
• Calypso
⭐️During auditions: you’ll be taught a combination to show assess your specific techniques, and potentially showcase your personality and express yourself through your dancing. Arriving prepared, comfortable, and confident is key.
⭐️After Auditions: Audition results are usually posted after the final competition of the current season, typically 2 weeks after auditions. Continue to work on notes given by judges as there may be callbacks.
