We are very excited to announce details about Mass Motion Dance's annual performance of The Nutcracker! We are excited to invite ALL MASS MOTION STUDENTS to participate in this year's production! This invitation includes ALL CLASSES - TINY TOTS TO SENIOR STUDENTS!
PLEASE RETURN THIS FORM BY MONDAY, October 6th to let us know if your dancer would like to be a part of this wonderful Holiday Celebration! You can also email the studio at: massmotionsturbridge@gmail.com with questions. Dances for this show will be rehearsed during regular class times. If there are additional rehearsals needed, we will let you know ASAP.
Nutcracker Information:

Costume Fee: $75 (charged to DSP), which includes a leotard and tights that each dancer will keep at the end of the performance. Dancers will also wear a variety of studio stock costume pieces. These costume extras will be added to each costume and will then be collected at the end of the show.

Turn It Up - Mock Competition - Senior Intensive Division ONLY
Turn It Up is hold a mock competition as a training opportunity for their new competition staff. They have asked us to attend this one day event at The Sturbridge Host Hotel on Saturday, January 24th. I think it would be an excellent opportunity for our dancers to take advantage of. We are currently ONLY inviting the Senior Intensive Dancers and will only be performing Large and Small Groups and possibly duet/trios. We can ONLY bring 8 dances from each studio. I have added this as a "class" in your parent portal under Intensive Student Events. If you are able to attend, please register for this FREE event. We will need all Senior Intensive Students to participate if we are going to register the event.
The mock competition will take place on Saturday, January 24, 2026, from approximately 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Sturbridge Host Hotel in Sturbridge, MA. A detailed schedule will be emailed to you about two weeks prior to the event—just like a regular competition weekend.
This is a performance opportunity for the dancers, and while no physical awards will be presented, a panel of judges will provide scores and critiques for each routine. Participants will also receive:
